Strategies for Advancing Scholarly Writing
The strategies for advancing my scholarly writing skills consists of the strategy of
proofreading, utilizing supporting evidence and avoiding literary errors while writing any project
(Torraco, 2016).
Reasons
The strategy of proofreading is to correct my mistakes in my scholarly writing. The
utilization of supporting evidence could be used by me to support my arguments. The main aim
of scholarly writing is to provide information to the audiences (Plakhotnik, Rocco, Gionti, Munn

& Collins, 2018). By adopting the three strategies, I would able to know the audiences and also
could work on improving my skills of scholarly writing.
Types of Resources Used
I have used learning resources as it provides proper guidance to become an outstanding
writer. The guidance will help me understand the definitions of the written projects, pay
attention to the prompt of the projects in my class, know the plotting of the essay and also utilize
the references properly for supporting my ideas (Torraco, 2016).
Identification of Any Potential Issues
My potential issues during the scholar writing are my lack of confidence and
grammatical mistakes. My dream is to become an outstanding writer who could have an expert
in writing (Plakhotnik et al.,2018). But my lack of confidence and frequent grammatical
mistakes are becoming obstacles in my writing.
Ways to Address the Issues
I have to tackle one issue at a time so I have to build and grow confidence within me
without fearing any obstacles. Confidence is vital while facing any issues regarding scholarly
writing (Gernsbacher, 2017). I have to realize the right things as it is significant to become an
outstanding writer. Scholarly writing needs correct grammar. I have to be more conscious of the
common grammatical mistakes so that I could rectify them. Assigning a writing teacher could
also help me to identify my mistakes.
Improvement Areas
I have to improve some areas of my scholarly writing. I want to write in a more formal
way which could help me to structure my writing in paragraphs along with clear sentences
related to the topics. For formal writing, I have to use using appropriate vocabulary with terms
related to topics. I have to be as comprehensive as possible with my approach towards the topics
while utilizing a formal style. The main points have to be presented, explained and concluded. I
have to be more conscious of the common grammatical mistakes so that I could rectify them.
The main points have to be stated with confidence and support them with relevant arguments

(Delgado & McGill, 2016). These are areas which I have to improve for enhancing my writing
