Introduction
People management refers to the set of practices that are encompassed in
the end to end processes of acquisition of talent, optimization of talent and retention
of talent by providing continued support in the activities of business. This is a key
subset of the human resource department where the different aspects such as work,
behavior and engagement are considered (Aguinis, 2019). This report is based on
the case study of a company called BUNI Travel which is a local travel agent in
Bolton. They have a considerably small workforce which works with a traditional
personnel department. This report covers the tools and techniques which can be
used to improve organizational performance and the role of employees in
maintaining the wellbeing of enhancing motivation and performance.
What tools and techniques will help improve organizational
performance?
Performance management refers to the process used by the organization to
monitor the performance and further coming up ways to enhance the performance of
employees (Armstrong, 2021). These tools and techniques should be effectively
used by the organization as it directly impacts the productivity and ultimately the
performance of overall organization. Further the tools and techniques used by BUNI
to improve organizational performance are discussed below: Performance Appraisal- Performance appraisal is a tool which can be used
in BUNI to combine the common and professional goals of organization and
ultimately deliver the objective. Appraisals are technique of motivating the

with the job role. Through this motivation factor, the employees will urge to
give their one hundred percent of efforts in the organization. This will enhance
the performance of the company in a short term as well as long term aspect.
BUNI should do appraisals at the end of the financial year, this will directly
improve the performance of organization (Brosowsky and et. al., 2020). This
is one of the most common form of performance appraisal technique in which
the employees get a motivation to work harder as the work demonstrated by
them are deciding factor for the level of appraisal they will get in the company.
360 Degree feedback- 360 Degree feedback refers to the assessment and
evaluation of employees, which will help the organization in terms of
assessing the external and internal factors. This is one of the best technique
of improving the performance as the employees of BUNI will get detailed
assessment and feedback on the performance they delivered in the company.
This report is provided to the employees by their managers, the report is
prepared by critically analyzing the performance of the employees (Hellmers
and et. al., 2019). A 360 Degree feedback tool is helpful in analyzing the
performance and further using this to train the employees in the areas in
which they lack. BUNI should prepare a sheet of feedback online or offline
which will be used to inform the employees about their level of performance in
different areas.
