Roles and responsibility as a teacher
Roles
The main role of teachers to implement and make use of new and
innovative ways to encourage the students that acknowledges the
art of learning.
Responsibilities
Teachers are responsible for providing knowledge, giving
education, assignments and notes. They also make sure that
students understand all the topics and teaching in the classroom.

Aspects of legislation and regulatory requirements
The legislation and code of practice in teaching and learning are act as guidelines with the aim of protecting
the learners in the lifelong learning sector.
Being a teacher, it is their duty to be well aware about various aspects of legislative requirements and codes
of practice in their job role for students.
Such as Equality Act 2010, this act focuses on protecting the rights of the learners with the aim of
preventing them from any type of discrimination in the area of education and employment.

Code of practice to the area of teaching, education
and training.
In relation to teaching, teachers are required to respect and
consider the dignity and rights of the learners irrespective of
their gender, sex, religion and caste.
Along with it, they should act honestly and integrity in their
educational culture.
Apart from the above mentioned legislative requirements,
there are also various codes of practice which are required to
be followed as a teacher in the learning sector.
