The consumption of drug has been defined as a habit-forming factor that may lead the person towards violence and crime. In some of the research reports, it is seen that more than 50 billion people around the world have been affected due to the increasing amount of drug overdoses and drug addictions. Around, $600 billion rehabilitation center are found which are giving medical and productive treatments to the individuals who are struggling with drug addictions. In this assignment, we are here to discuss what kind of challenges people are facing around the world who are directly or indirectly related to the drug addiction and drug overdose. The effects and challenges of an increase in drug addiction and overdoses Drug addiction and drug overdose have affect millions of people all over the world every year. There are some biggest challenges have been found that are actually become the biggest issue not only in local as well as in global perspective. Some of the serious issues are the increasing ratio of crimes, accidents, injuries, impaired health, reduced quality of life and high death rates are actually behind the reason of the misuse of the consumption of forbidden drugs (Nandakumar, Gollakota & Sunshine, 2019). The 2018 survey indicates that the major factor that has led to the misuse of drugs is actually the nonmedical pain relievers drug. The availability of these non-prescribed forbidden drugs are become available in many sources such as from the doctors, the internet, and medicine cabinet and from other online stores (Bohnert & Ilgen, 2019) The overuse of drugs is the reason behind mental disorders, family disintegration and even suicide which have become the notable issue all over the world. The data from mental health services and substances abuse drug administration national survey has indicated that from 2015- 2018 about, 10million people are suffering from substance abuse from past years (Ciccarone, 2019). In addition to the global federal governments are beginning to implement the health reform legislation so that they can focus on giving individual attention to improve their overuse of drug and mental illness as well. The new opportunities and converge of treatments are being introduced for the prevention of overuse of drugs. Throughout the estimated report, the research can be demonstrated that: The national and global reports are indicated that the problems with over usage of drugs are not only limited to an individual’s disorder, but it also can indicate a possible effect on safety and health problems that may also result in mental illness (Ho, 2019). The drug addiction and over usage of drugs have indicated a complex of social and biological determinants that disrupted medical conditions of mental sickness too. Many policies and prevention programs have been introduced in a national and global perspective to educate the people on harms related to over usage of drugs (Cher, Morden & Meara 2019).

The embedded preventions and recovery services can be taken into the large health care system that will increase and will improve the quality of service by giving better outcomes to the individuals suffering from drug overdose (Fernandez et al., 2019). Conclusion The overdose of drugs and non prescribed drugs has caused an alarming situation in the global and national survey. The harms may include the homicides, interpersonal violence, overuse, vehicle crashes and self-injuries. The reports have also indicated that it has lead to early deaths of young and adolescents that were in the age of 13-25. In 2018, around 80million people in global context reported themselves under the drug overdose in the past year. In approach to national and global reports, it has aimed to bring societal factors that can improve the well being, health and safety of the entire population in the world. Many countries are addressing prevention programs to educate the young people as well as the people who are influenced with drug overdose in order to bring in a healthy environment and efforts to reduce the crime rates and to give sound health living to people.
