INTRODUCTION
Questionnaires are the type of research instruments which have a set of questions that
have objectives to gather information or data from a participant. Questionnaires are close-ended
questions most of the time (Koitsalu and et. al, 2018). Questionnaires are used to collect
demographic details, facts, opinions from multiple respondents. These are the questions which
are same for all the respondents.
For conducting research Rowlinson Knitwear is a chosen company, it is an small-medium
enterprise which is engaged in producing school wear for students and knitwear. The
headquarters is situated in Manchester, United Kingdom and has strength of 100 employees. The
main reason for choosing Rowlinson Knitwear is it is an small medium enterprise and their staff
are not satisfied with the pay structure they are providing in the company. It is determined that
employees are not happy because company is assigning roles on the basis of age and gender. The
pay scales are also decided by referring age and gender because of that employees are feeling
discriminated. So, questionnaire method is selected to collect and gather view of employees
working in a company.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
It is the chapter which is used by researcher to collect reliable and relevant data to
achieve the objectives of research in an effective and efficient manner. It is the process for
identifying, selecting and analysing data according to the topic of project (Clarke and Visser,
2019).
The present topic is based on the Rowlinson Knitwear which is an small medium
enterprise where employees are dissatisfied with the pay structure of organisation. Employees
are feeling that they are not provided with right amount of pay according to the work they are
performing on daily basis. This type of non satisfaction is making employee demotivated
towards their day to day operations which ultimately affecting the productivity of organisation.
Some other issues that employees are feeling that they are feeling discriminated because the jobs
and responsibilities are assigned on the basis of gender and age, they are not provided with right
roles and responsibilities according to their talent and qualification. To understand and examine
the opinions of employees regarding their dissatisfaction and unhappiness related to the pay
structure, researcher is using help of different methodologies which are explained below:
