INTRODUCTION
The complete portfolio is based at the CIPD HR profession map which units out that what
the HR profession desires to do, to understand and to deliver at all the stages in their career or
profession. The CIPD HR career map consists of ten expert areas which define that what HR
desires to realize and what they have to do, alongside this, it consists of 8 behaviours which
encompass that how they perform their sports and then the four brands which tells that the way
to broaden from one function to every other, this will describes the hierarchy of their profession.
This map helps the HR experts to grow to be ready with the relevant skills which are wanted for
modern-day practices and for the future growth areas. The areas on which I’m focusing in my
portfolio are mastering and improvement, worker engagement, employee members of the family,
performance reward, a lot of these are professional regions on which I’m focusing. Apart from
this, the behavioural regions are selection thinkers, collaborative, position version
(Cottrell,2015).

accurate and flexible. Whereas, second one have defined the advising or managing of team.
These all are areas on which I have to improve my skills. In it, I have to go for developing my
personal development plan. Furthermore, I have learned several approaches of self-learning and
personal and professional skills which are essentially required for me to achieve the goals and
objectives of the firm. In addition, evaluation has also done by me on the basis of present skills
so that future needs of personal development can be identified effectively. Present reports is
based on portfolio which includes comparison of PDP with short and long term goals along with
this, I have also evaluated that an individual can take professional growth in its professional
career after making PDP plan.

Numerous factors are available that can affect the learning and development of individuals and
all these factors are taken in this report for discuss. Several theories of learning can be used by
individuals in order to developing their personal career. I have to develop my professional career
in HR profession for this, I have identified that university is very effective method from which I
can take support of teachers, guides, mentors or supervisors. In addition, these teachers or
lectures also provides too much support because they provide study material and assistance
through providing books or journals. During my seminars in University, I have identified several
opportunities like through class rooms I have learned effectiveness of collaborative work and
managing time for conducting several activities. I have also attended placement programmes
from which I have learned that without skills and efficiency any candidate can take growth in its
personal career (Webb Chaffer, 2016).
Some personal experiences are also gained by me during my project in university such as
managing class room activities within a specific time of period etc. all these experiences have
helped me very much in adding some personal skills in my existing skills. In addition, for
increasing my learning skills I have also used internet and other external things so that I can
perform my further duties in effective manner. I had also list down all my weaknesses and gaps
on a paper which have identified by me during my projects in university. Through noting down
these weaknesses I have learned several experiences which have encouraged my awareness and
identity which have helped me in developing my talent and potential. Main benefits which were
gained by me from this learning and development were my self-awareness, self-knowledge, self-
esteem etc. This personal development will be helpful for me because with the help of this I will
be able in improving my internal strengths which will also assist in attaining targeted goals.
Things which have learned by me in my university programmes will be helpful for me in dealing
with complex situations.
From the above benefits, I can say that continuous learning and development is very important
because it prepares individuals for performing their duties in harder situations.
Furthermore, I have developed my own personal and professional development plan along with
