INTRODUCTION
Business communication is a technique for sharing information with a large number of
people both inside and outside the firm. Employees and management interact with one another to
achieve organisational goals and objectives through efficient communication. As a result, its goal
is to improve organisational procedures and eliminate errors. With the outbreak of the pandemic
COVID-19, the retail industry underwent many changes, and people’s shopping habits changed
as a result of COVID-19 restrictions (Chandler and et. al., 2019). As a result of COVID-19
restrictions, there has been a rapid rise in online shopping, which has become a part of people’s
normal way of life. However, in an internet business, excellent communication is required to
attract customers to spend more money with the company, and here is where Something for
Everyone falls short, as their sales are not as high as they would want to be. As a result, they
chose to construct a new website for the same issue in order to produce a better website for the
company that is efficient in communicating the SFE product to clients.
ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION
Evaluation of communication theories
There are various communication theories are defined by various authors in order to
understand the real meaning of communication and process of communication. In order to
evaluate the communication theories, SMCR model is considered which is undertaken by SFE in
order to develop knowledge about communication in the organisation.
Sender: It is the source where the message originate has it include various skills of an
individual regarding communication like read write speak listen and many more.
Communication also represents the requirement of person to become a knowledgeable
regarding the particular topic (Piorkowski and et. al., 2021). The source also includes the
encoder where the message encodes in order to understand it properly.
Message: It includes the body of message from the beginning to the end. It includes
various aspects like language gestures body language and many more as these elements
constitute a particular message. For this the structure of message is also important by
describing the proper structure of the message into several parts. For this the code of
message is also important which is send by considering the gesture body language and
culture as well by which people receive messages and communication takes place.
