INTRODUCTION
It is very important for a person to continuously develop and learn new skills that is
significant for successful conducting business task. Learning of new skill will help in effectively
conducting task and enhancing business practices (Wink and et.al., 2017). There are different
issues and problems with in the company that needs to be timely resolve in order effectively
conduct business task. This report will include reflection on the process of learning and skills
development. In this different skills gap and area of further development has been identified.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Reflection on the process and evaluate your learning and your skills development.
I have worked in a part of team which is solving clients business problems. This is the
learning experience which is significant for developing and enhancing new skills and capabilities
to successfully perform and conduct business task. It is very important for me to identify and
evaluate the process of learning in order to develop skill. For example, while working in the team
which is resolving clients problems I have developed various skills which is helpful for me to
successfully conduct business task as well as enhance overall performance. As a result of this
project I have developed number of skills such as team working skills, problem solving skills
and so on. Working in this project is significant for successfully developing and learning new
skills which are helpful in resolving issues. Problem solving skills can be describe as the
capability of a person to effective provide solution and resolve the problems in more effective
manner (Liu and Lo, 2018). This skill includes active listening, analysing, creatively and other
capabilities of a person which helps in identify the actual problems and proving most effective
solution to resolve the problems. In this project I was working with the team of experts that are
significant for directing and guiding to work more effectively and contribute maximum efforts.
Through this I have developed my potential related to team work. Team working skill is
significant to work correctly and accurate in a group of people. For example I was able to gain
more information form my team member regarding the solution of different problems. In this I

have identified how to work better in a team and support each other with the motive of attaining
common goals.
I have identified and determine various aspects which I do not know at the starting of the
process. Information gained in this project is significant for better learning and skill
development. For example, one of my co worker has explained me the process of problem
resolving (Loughran and et.al., 2017). I do not have information regarding the process that
should be consider while resolving any issue and providing better solutions to client's business
process. Through this I have determined the importance of identifying clients need and
requirement so that correct and accurate solution could be provided. I was not aware about the
various benefits of working in a team. For example my team worker have provided me
information to learn new skills and develop potential by observing other team members.
Working in a team is considered to be beneficial to enhance abilities.
I have developed and improved the level of confidence by working in this project. I have
determined that I am able to boost my performance and increase my contribution in effective and
efficient working of the team. For example I am able to share my views and through with other
in more significant manner now. I have determined that while working in this project my level of
confidence have been improved as I do not hesitate to convey my ideas and solution of problems
with the team. This is very helpful for motivating me as well as enhancing my moral to
contribute more in team work. I have determined that my level of confidence has been
significantly improved as I am able to handle clients problems on my own and provide creative
solutions.
Learning in this project is significant for effectively and efficiently performing business
task in future. I will be able to use this learning while working in organisation as professional.
Through this I have developed my capabilities and skills to provide better and effective solution
in order to solve business problems (Neumann and Fahmy, 2016). For example, learning of
problem solving skills and team work capabilities is significant for providing better solution to
business problems. This will help me in identifying the best solution to resolve the business
problems and enhance organisational activities.

Identification of THREE skills gaps or areas.
I have determined that there are number of skills which are lacking in me that will lead to
have direct impact on my overall performance as well as capabilities to successfully conduct
business task. I have analysed and evaluate skill gaps and areas which needs to be consider for
further development. The three major skill the I need to develop is communication, time
management and critical thinking (Neumann and Fahmy, 2016). All of these needs to be
developed and enhanced with the motive of providing better support to company and successful
complete business practices. I have determined that I am not able to communicate effective with
team worker. Due to this, I am not able to share my idea and view with other in more significant
manner. Communication skill can be describe as the potential of a person to correctly transmit
the message and thought so that receiver is able to gain proper meaning. I have analysed that
because of lack of communication skills I was not able to develop effective relationship with
team member. Because of ineffective communication skills I am not able to explain solutions to
clients business problems with the team member. This lead to have direct impact on my potential
to work effective and moral to successfully perform required business practices.
Lack of time management skills will lead to have direct impact over my potential to
complete task with in correct time. Due to my incapability of managing time in more significant
manner I am not able to contribute effectively with in team task. Time management skills will
lead to have major impact on my capability to complete given task in right and successfully
accomplish desired objectives. Critical thinking is another skill gap and it will lead to have
significant impact on my potential to take correct decision. Due to lack of critical thinking I am
not able to correctly analyse and evaluate the issues with the motive of making judgement. I have
analysed the I need to develop a proper action plan which is significant for providing correct
actions needs to be taken for developing skills which are lacking. Action plan can be describe as
the proper process or procedure the improve skills which are lacking and enhance capabilities.
Action plan for over coming skill gap is mention below - Developing goals – The first step of action plan is to set a proper goal according to which
all task and practices will be performed (NiMehta and Zhang, 2018). My goal is to
increase skills and capabilities which are lacking in order to successfully perform
required business task and practices.

Identification of needs – At this stage I will identify the need of development and
improvement of skills. I have analysed that I need to develop communication, time
management and critical thinking skills. Improvement of these skills is essential for
successfully perform required task and practices. Measures – In this stage I will focus on taking correct and accurate measures that is
helpful in developing required skills and successfully perform business task (Gibson and
et.al, 2016). I have identified that for developing skills which are lacking I need to take
correct measures. This includes short term course, online learning, guidance for
supervisor, books and so on. These are the correct measures and techniques which are
significant for improving skills and reducing the skill gap.
Implementing plan – This is the last stage of action plan and in this step I will
implemented the selected measures for developing required skills. Successful
implementation of the plan will help in improving overall performance as well as
attaining desired goals (Thurman, Dörr and Kunert, 2017). For developing
communication skill I have consider short term course. Time management skills can be
developed through online learning platform and for enhancing critical thinking I have
considered support form supervisor that is significant for guiding and directing
effectively.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that skill development is essential for a person
as it will assist in enhancing capability and potential to successfully perform required task.
Learning and skill development will help in gaining correct knowledge to successfully perform
required task and practices. There are different skills and capabilities that should be with in a
person in order to correct carry out required activities of company. Skill development and
learning will help in correctly conducting business task and improving overall abilities. This is
significant for boosting moral and confidence of a person.
