INTRODUCTION
Organisational communication is refers to the study which has been focus on the
communication and flow of necessary information around entity with support of the any type of
medium. This has been associated with the various types of communication such as internal and
external, oral or written etc. there are also several type of communication channel which is used
by the people to communicate with each other while working in an organisation(Bossio, and. et.
al., 2020). This is an important aspect of the company as this provides support in planning all
type of activities along with this, it also necessary for the proper coordination in function so that
a better result can be produced. The main motive of organisational communication is to inform,
motivate and persuade. The below report is based on business united which has been function is
to solve all the complaints and issues of students. This report is consist of general theories,
barriers of communication and certain strategies to solve all the barriers which has been followed
by recommendations.
MAIN BODY
General theories of organisational communication
There are various theories of the organisational communication that has been explained
below:
Written and oral: Oral communication is refers to the oldest form of communication in
which is most commonly used by people for exchanging information, as it involves collection
and dissemination information through spoken words. On the other hand, written is type of
formal communication which involves drafted and formulation of message in written form, this
is generally used in business united when a communication takes place in different departments
or students to talk with higher authorities.
Formal and informal: Formal communication is takes place while following a
predetermine procedure or a proper hierarchy and informal communication has no structure as
there is a free flow in any direction. This type of communication helps in create and maintain
relationship with friends and colleagues.
Internal and external: Internal communication is refers to the exchange of information
or ides within the organisation in messages are transferred via personal contact, telephone, e-
mail etc. in which this can flow upward, downward, horizontally and diagonally within the
