This has lead to the creation of the trouble for the individual and the learners where
they were most able to get a pattered job in the market because of the shortage of

Academic writing is defined as a professional style of writing used in higher
education institutions and scholarly publications. It is a professional manner of
writing which can be found in university essays research papers and dissertations.
From the lecture on academic writing I have developed a knowledge about
academic writing plagiarism and referencing (Farrell, 2020). This has helped me
improve my knowledge about ways to effectively complete academic projects in a
timely manner. In future I will be improving my academic writing by ensuring that I
have cited all the sources accurately and have also utilized plagiarism checking
tools to determine if there is any plagiarism by mistake in my academic writing.
2. What have you learnt about plagiarism OR referencing that will do differently
because of your learning from today’s lecture/seminar?
I have learned about different types of plagiarism including intentional and
unintentional plagiarism which is a disciplinary offence end students face strict
action for plagiarizing content in their academic writing (Holzweiss and Parrott,
2017). I also learned about ways of avoiding plagiarism such as referencing the
material correctly. In addition to this I also learned about the referencing process
and from now on I will ensure that all my academic writing is cited according to
the Harvard format with complete in text citation and a properly done reference
list.

Week 8: Motivation and rewards

On the other hand payment by result also has some disadvantages which are
higher risk for providers and a distinctive for providers to share learning along with

coming in the future. The disadvantage of bonuses financial reward is that it does
not guarantee better motivation for every employee as different employees have
different financial requirements and some even consider financial words as
uninteresting in comparison to other kinds of rewards.
Commission This is defined as payment accrued by employee during the course
of their work which is paid to employ after completing a specific task such as
selling specific number of products or services. This is a common type of financial
reward which motivates employees towards achieving specific targets such as
completing specific number of sales. The disadvantage of commission is that It can
create pay inequality which can fuel turnover and harm overall environment of the
company.
Profit Sharing Finally profit sharing is another method of providing employees
financial incentive which involves dividing profit with the workforce (Hayes, 2018).
The advantage of this financial reward is that it makes employees feel as if they
are part of the workforce while the disadvantage is that it reduces the capability of
the organization to give back profits to their shareholders and investors.
