This article discusses how to provide positive support to clients with behaviours of concern and contribute to their skill development using a person-centred approach. It also emphasizes the importance of recognizing and respecting diversity in the workplace. The article includes reflective journal entries for three clients, verbal and non-verbal communication strategies, and cultural misunderstandings. The article concludes with a reflection on practice and how awareness of one's own perspectives towards diversity can influence interactions with colleagues and clients.
