HIV/AIDS refers to a critical infection which ensures presence
of Human Immunodeficiency Virus and cause diseases called
AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). The target
market includes young people of nation to make them
educated about facts and precautions about HIV by designing
an effective advertisement for organising campaign which
helps to reduce this use in society. This infection should be
determined by progressive deterioration of immune system
breaking down body's ability to fight with infections through
opportunistic bacteria, fungi and viruses. According to survey
report, almost 33 million people are living with HIV/AIDS at
global level and around 2 million individuals died every year
due to which it is considered as world's leading infectious
killer.
CD4 Facts – The CD4/ T- cells/ T- helper cells have
an important role to organise immune system for
responding to bacterial, fungal and viral infections in
body. CD4 cell counts in normal people is around
400- 1600/ml in men and 500- 1700/ml in women. It
may go up and down in menstrual cycle or reducing
while a woman taking oral contraceptives.
Symptoms of HIV – The early symptoms
are fever, headache, lack of energy and then observe
skin rashes or sores, swollen glands, night sweats,
menstrual changes, bacterial/yeast infections. It also
increases risk of getting other STDs such as
chlamydia, trichomonas’s, gonorrhoea and human
papillomavirus which leads to genital warts or
cervical cancer
There are several modes of transmission of HIV virus which should be
avoided by remaining careful about the same. It is necessary to make
people aware about them so that they can take appropriate steps for
reducing risk of this disease.
It includes vaginal, oral or anal sex with and infected person.
Transfusion of infected blood without testing.
Sharing unclean needles or syringes to take drugs.
Using unsterilized needles for tattooing, skin piercing or
acupuncture.
From mother foetus in uterus during gestation period or through
breastfeeding.
HIV AIDS Modes of infection
Precautions to AIDS – The HIV/AIDS is kind of sever health issues
which is not able to determine at early stages and there is no cure of this
problem through medication. Thus, it can be only prevented till limited
and people with AIDS can survive by taking proper precautions and
taking ART (combination of antiretroviral therapy) on regular basis
carefully. Some of key ways which are helpful to prevent HIV
transmission which should be followed by people are explained further –
Getting tested or treated from sexually transmitted infections
including HIV.
Avoiding injecting drugs or if necessary then use disposable
needles and syringes.
Ensuring safe blood transfusion.
