CE 3.1 Project Information
Name of the project: Indoor Wireless Communication using Visible Light (LI FI)
Location of the project: Mumbai
Project Duration: [2013 - 2014]
Organization: University of Mumbai
Role and Designation during the time: Team Leader
CE 3.2 Project Background
CE 3.2.1 Characteristics of the project
Wireless technology are the most trending sector in the current digital world and every
individual wants to utilize operations wirelessly. I had developed a project that will be helpful in
eliminating the wired connection between the indoor appliances and automate the actions
through utilizing the Li-Fi technology. I had used this technology as an alternative of the wired
communication between the indoor electrical appliances that will be using LED’s for the
communication for executing the operations. I had chosen the Li-Fi technology over the Wi-Fi in
manner to allow the components and apparatus for dealing with the ever-changing conditions.
CE 3.2.2 Objectives developed for the project
I was interested in this project and wanted to accomplish the overall activities of the
project in an effective and efficient manner for which, I had developed the following objectives:

To provide a wireless communication system for the indoor appliances at higher
speed
To Keep the security at optimum level
To provide higher bandwidth
CE 3.2.3 My area of work
My primary job was to assign roles and responsibilities to each involved members in this
project in manner to accomplish the activities involved in this project. I had used the codes and
Matlab for the development of this system that will allow users to login in the network and
operate the appliances wirelessly. I had used several algorithms for the efficient and effective
development of this project. Thereafter I had solely designed the transmitting section for the
established network. Transmitting section includes the power supply that will be responsible for
providing power to the whole setup and used then following components for it:
