Current situation of Cobb Lane
Cobb Lane is a bakery, located in Melbourne. It was founded in 2012.
This concept of café was come out from Matthew Forbes. Products of the
café are handcrafted. This café is famous for doughnuts and loaves. Main
revenue has come from the wholesale arm. The café also had their retail in
several markets. Cobb lane also takes wedding and events orders. The
mission of Cobb lane was to provide good quality baked goods and proper
service to the customers. According to the organizational structure of Cobb
Lane founder is the director of the organization. One operation manager
works under the director (Cobblane, 2020). Main challenges faced by Cobb
Lane are small warehouse space and small size of store. That is why it
started to plan for relocating the store and warehouse. In order to relocate
they have chosen the 175, Stephen st. Yaraville Melbourne as new
warehouse and store. By relocating, they can have many facilities as if they
can have good warehouse facility. Apart from these, they are suffering from
insufficient power supply in the work place. It also faces problems with
getting the certification from HACCP. Cobb lane is facing problem from cheap
and non-branded products. Therefore, it limits the growth of the sale through
online channels. It cannot high its price due to cheaper products are there to
give it competitions. Increased demand of fresh baked products insists it to
have a large space of warehouse and to have additional staff member,
improved kitchen equipments and easy flow of resources. In order to have so
many things they have to increase revenue. For increasing the revenue, they
can take help from alternative revenue streams.
Requirements of clients
The requirement is totally base on the recording find in the module section.
According to the current situation of Cobb Lane, it needs to relocate its
business. By relocating the business, it can have good ware facility. It
requires implanting CPS (CONTINOUS POWER SUPPLY) by adopting
alternative power systems. It will be helpful to have CPS. In order to have
licence from HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) it has to be
more concern about the activities and operations, which are maintain by
chemical, biological and physical factor. A good control; in those factors can
help them to have the licence from HACCP. In order to have strong
competitive advantages it has to be more expand in new market. Along with
this, it has to promote through online sources. Therefore, a strong customer
