Introduction
Travel technology is also known as the hospitality automation and the technology in tourism. It
is the part or application of the information and the communication technology and the
information technology that is used in the travel and hospitality industry for the purpose of
providing services and tourism products. The study helps in understanding the influence of the
technology on the decision making of the consumer within the sector of travel and tourism. One
of the famous technologies in the travel and tourism sector is flight tracking (Shaw, 2016).
Travel and tourism sector is the largest sector in which people from different places come to
visits the destination for the purpose of leisure, adventure, and so on. The research project is
divided into four categories in which the first part includes a research proposal; the second part
includes a report on research implementation. The task focuses on implementing the project by
following the specific process or step that is planned in the research proposal. The third part
focuses on the collection of data by evaluating the outcomes of the research and fourth part
includes a poster. This will help in presenting the outcomes of the research within the format or
media that is present in London excel and world tourism market.

Task 1
1.1. Formulate and record possible research project outline specifications
Topic: Influence of flight tracking of Thomas Cook Thomas Cook Airlines in the travel and
tourism sector
Introduction
Flight tracking is the form of technology in the travel and tourism sector. The use of the flight
ticketing is increasing day by day and concerned the citizen. Tracking is not limited to the

1.2. Identify the factors that contribute to the process of research project selection
There are various factors that contribute to research and make the research more effective. Some
of are as follows:
Structured topics: While conducting the research it is important to conduct the research within a
specific format. There is a certain structured topic in the research that should be covered. These
structure topics may include an introduction, literature review, methodology or research design,
expected outcomes, recommendation and conclusion and so on. This will help in attracting the
stakeholders of research (Khanal, 2018).
Semi-structured topics: The semi-structured topics are the topics that allow the interviewer to
explore at the time of conducting the research structure topics usually brought about in advance.
For example, research objective, research question, research methods, time frame and etc.
Unstructured topics: Unstructured topics are commonly used while conducting eth research or
used in practice. Such as, a rough sketch of the research proposal that is sent to the tutor to get
the approval. This help in carrying the research project.
Interest: Research interest helps the researcher in exploring more and more ideas to conduct the
research. It is an important part of the research that makes the research more reliable and
accurate. For example, in this research project, the research is having an interest in conducting
the data through the questionnaire (Valjakka, et. al., 2015).
Access to primary data: Primary data is the original data that is collected for a certain purpose.
Data collected by the researcher on the topic “influence of flight tracking in the travel and
tourism sector” is the example of primary data.
Scope and importance: The statement of the research project help in expecting eth scope of the
research and it important for clarifying what is needed to be done and what are the limitations,
assumptions, dependencies and so on. This helps in maintaining the quality and accuracy of the
research project.

Feasibility: Feasibility of the research project ensures the action help in conducting the research
in a better way. Time and money is the important part of the feasibility of research project
(Belobaba, et. al., 2015). In the research project the time will be required to complete the
research project is 3 months and the money that is required to accomplish the data is $300.
