This unit and this week’s learning gave a
clear idea of the different ways of classifying
a project. A project is mainly classified
according to a pre determined functionality.

Project manager requires proper project

project. If the functional managers are able
to achieve those skills, I think they can be a

the work and requests are in best interest
of the company, it is essential that a
program managers or even the owner of
the project keep an eye on the project
manager.
Project management although is not
designed to transfer power from line
managers to project manager, it might
sometimes result in the same.

Portfolio Reflection
The portfolio helped me in understanding the different concepts of project management. It gave me a clear idea of project classification and importance of
organizational change in the project. This week’s learning helped me in understanding the different responsibilities of the project manager and the line
manager. The senior project manager of the team is responsible for monitoring the project progress so that the project is implemented according to the
project plan. I would love to work as a project manager and take the work responsibilities of the project manager in future.

Proper communication between the
contractor and the customer is essential in
order to understand whether each one
completely understands the statement of
work, work breakdown structure and the
project plan.
The project stakeholders need to have a
good knowledge about the project progress
and this is ensured by developing a proper
project plan. Regular meetings are held with
the project stakeholders so that they have a
clear idea of the project progress. The
telephonic communication among the team
members and the project stakeholders is
maintained for informing them about the
most crucial project progress. Social media

project stakeholders as well.
