Learning includes Assessing
Readiness for Implementing
Organisational PM (Kerzner, 2013)
In this unit, I learnt about the
responsibilities of a senior project
manager of a particular team.
Senior project manager is
responsible for planning the
different phases of project
implementation and is responsible
for monitoring the project progress.
I think that in case of project
management, the functional
managers are capable of making a
good project manager as well since
they have a clear idea about the
outcome of the project and their

manager, it is essential to
understand that it was not
designed to transfer the power but
to manage a project more
efficiently.

Organizational Change and project
management (Week 5 lecture slides)
The project management in a
project driven organization is quite
mature in comparison to a non
project driven organization and
therefore, career growth differs to a
large extent in both the
organization.
Proper knowledge of different tools
and techniques of project
management will be essential for
managing the different project
works. This will help me in
developing a successful career in
future as well.

Portfolio Reflection
This week’s learning has helped me in understanding the different processes of classifying a particular project according to
the project requirements. The lectures gave an idea about the concept and importance of organizational change along with a
clear idea of organizational structure. This week’s lectures have further helped me in understanding the role of project
manager and the senior project managers in handling a project.
