INSTALL AND MANAGE A SERVER

Part A:
Outlining procedures of server maintenance:
Firstly, it helps to verify the backups that are been working. Prior making any modification to
the production system, it must be assured that the backups are working. One might also intent to run
the recoveries of test as one is going to remove the critical information. As one focuses on the
backups one might assure that they have chosen the suitable location for backup. Next, the disk
usage must be checked. One must never use the production system as the archival system. The old
logs, software versions and old logs are to be deleted as they are not used no longer (Qi, Du and Ge
2017). Here, keeping the system to be free of the old software can limit the issues with the security.
Any smaller footprint of the data indicates the quick recovery. As the usage can exceed the ninety
percent of the capacity of disk, the usage must be reduced and more storage is to be added. As the
partition can reach the utmost percent, the server might halt reacting, the tables of the database could
get corrupted and the information might get lost.
Defining the necessary service levels that are to be maintained:
Firstly, there are the agents and the processes. Next, the call length and the volume is to be
considered as the interactions take long time that the call volume spike. It occurs as the service gets
down and promotion present underway and the levels of service might drop. Then, there is efficient
data usage. The call forecasting and workforce management helps to find out the staffing schedules
and levels directly affecting the service levels. Further, there is the scheduling where the agents can
disappear despite any logging tasking (Al-Najjar, Layeghy and Portmann 2016). Besides, there is the
tracking of occupancy that consist of time spent on tasks that are work-related that is relative to time
they get logged in called rate of occupancy. Then, there is the management of basics assuring the
