Challenges
The five key challenges in the process of managing stakeholders on a complex defence
projects are as follows
Interests of stakeholders: different stakeholder groups have their own interests; this
factor needs to be considered during the designing of the framework of complex project.
Resistance of stakeholders in sharing data: in some cases the stakeholders do not seem
to be interested in sharing data (Buede and Miller 2016). While carrying out a complex defense
project, the coordination among members is the most considered factor. This issues results in
resistance in innovation.
Unclear definition of real needs: this issue arises when requirements are not clear to the
stakeholders. Poorly defines requirements might result in project failure.
Rejecting stakeholders: requirements that are conflicting in nature can be obtained from
different stakeholders, this result in a dilemma regarding which requirements should be
considered and which ones would be rejected.
Stakeholder’s urging to design the system: sometimes when stakeholders are asked for
their requirements or suggestions regarding a specific project, instead of cooperating with
analysts and providing them with their requirements or suggestions they tend to provide
solutions (Carl 2015). In many cases the solutions that are provided by them result in occurring
new issues and not the solution for the present ones.

Some ways that can be used in order to overcome these challenges are as follows
