INTRODUCTION
International hospitality management is a field of study to gain knowledge and skills in
both terms practical and theoretical basis. It consider visual perception of administrative
activities and task of particular hotel or resort industry. In this manager of particular hotel assure
that people on business and vacation travel have enjoyable experience with their services, foods,
accommodations and other facilities (Alexakis and Jiang, 2019). hospitality and tourism
industries both have huge role in contribute efforts in terms of growth of economy rate and better
development of country. Below report based on IHG which means Inter-continental Hotels
group plc, it is British multinational hospitality organisation based in Denham in England. This
company founded in 2003 and they have more than 5,900 hotels in various countries. Below
report includes hospitality industry and tourism background, about IHG, SWOT model of IHG,
emerging markets background, PEST on emerging market, hotel's strategy used and
implemented, justification and practical application of strategy in next 5 or 10 years.

Background of Hospitality industry and tourism
Tourism and hospitality sector both have major role in development and growth of
economy in country. History behind hospitality and tourism industry is people who are away
from their family or house, surrounded by other strangers and yet people feel welcome in hotels.
Original thought of this industry has stay on unchanged since creation of word and it is derived
from “Hospes” Latin word. This word means stranger and visitor both and industry has roots in
history of ancient. In traditional time there are does not have proper routes and people who are
arriving in other country they didn't have any shelters for staying so the idea built about
hospitality industries after 18th century when technology also at progress stage (Baum, 2019). In
current scenario there are various hospitality and tourism sectors available in different country.
Now hospitality divided into four categories that are Food and Beverages, lodging, recreation
and Travel and Tourism. Innovation and hospitality important in various factors such as
emergences of innovated technologies such as digital channels,internet of things, artificial
intelligence and many other are provide abilities to face different challenges and uncertainty in
market. Extensive data and information availability of every guest or customers helps in retain
them and better interaction process. Hospitality and tourism industries basically based on better
