INTRODUCTION
International HRM is an art that helps the business to manage various sort of individuals
for holding different perceptive in an organisation. International HRM has concerned managing
an international personnels of team members and specialist to involves in the application of
management activities. It concentrates the set of actions as human resource management to
recruitment, selection, performance management, compensation, training, industrial relations,
career management etc. Strategically international HRM is closely linked to the business strategy
of the organization. The management consider in this report is Volkswagen UK. It was founded
by Milton Keynes in the year 1953 at United Kingdom (Al-Ajlouni, Nawafleh, and Alsari,
2019). International human resource management can be termed as the set of actions and
operations that are involved in hiring the individuals and managing their performance,
compensation, training and relations with workers to get hired for managing the internal
operations of the organisations as with the perspective to ensure the prosperity of their
international business and plan of actions. In this report various external and internal factors will
be discussed which can affect the functioning of the business like political unrest, impact
international HRM on brexit, economic uncertainity, managing international operation, training
and development of staff, managing international strategies, managing virtual teams, health and
safety consideration, Restart and realigning business operations, Comparative employee relations
and participation, International staffing and expatriation, training and career development,
Compensation and performance management and managing diversity.

International human resource management works at international level to mark the
changes in individual's life during the pandemic of COVID-19. The process of decision making
in an international organization have interpreted various forms of state to improve the impacts of
the pandemic. The pandemic has lead to maximise the cross border distance problems as in new
intra firm distancing demands that are obligatory upon previously situated individuals. IHRM
has lighten the issues of trouble that presented in distancing of the employee selection, training,

support, welfare and safety. As the leadership and realistic cooperation take place to phrase the
orientation manner (Ayentimi, Burgess, and Brown, 2018). Some of the intellection manner is
relevant to figure out the pandemic that are related with distance challenges.
Political unrest
Political unrest is basically the unstable political environment which can affect the
performance of the business in the market. There are various risk and opportunities which faced
by the Volkswagen Group due to the unstable political environment. Risk related to the diesel
issue which can affect the demand of the business in the market due to the low margin in the
used and new car organisation needs various funds to cover the risk of the organisation so that
profit of the business cannot get affected in the market. Due to the diesel issue the use of
refinancing instruments can be restricted due to which performance of the business can also get
affected. Due to high competition in the market demand of the business can get effected due to
which organisation has to innovate its services in order to maintain its profit in the market. Lack
of legal certainty can also develop risk in the organisation (Cafferkey, and et.al., 2019).
Geopolitical conflicts and tensions can a major risk for the performance of the individual
regions. Price pressure due to the high market saturation can be a challenge for the Volkswagen
group because it is supplier of premium and volume models. Price drop due to the economic
climate triggered affects the earning of the business due to high competition in the market it put
pressure on the Volkswagen company to increase its productivity in the market.
Impact of Brexit on international HRM practices
The Brexit campaign of 2016 declared for leaving the European division that would
strengthen both the UK economic condition and its worldwide relevancy. There is still
uncertainty of encompassing the economy, trade duty and the autonomous change of grouping of
goods and services that will be struck by the deals that are eventually discuss as between the
British authorities. The issues for non-UK nationalistic that are entering in the UK for expecting
to maximise in resulting as in the accessibility of talent pools that are decreasing with time.
Hence, firms are expected to be harder to engaged the talent sourcing policy.
Economic uncertainty
It is basically the outlook of the uncertain economy which cannot be predictable it is
basically the negative economic events which can take place. Economic uncertainty can affect
the production process of the business in the market. Due to which profit of the business can also
