INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
1. Introduction
The purpose of this report is to identify the specific issues facing the no name aircraft company
and delineate effective recommendations for mitigation of the issues. In the first stage of the
report, the issues have been identified from the case study. Under the next section, the research
has accumulated the suggestive responses against the various issues with a proper reflection of
how they can be implemented and imitated in the future in order to ensure that these issues do
not occur again. The case study identify that the primary issues lies in context to organisational
culture, communication as well as diversity management. It is the lack of communication and the
working distance between the various departments, that is causing the problem in the
performance management.
In the last part of the report, an implementation plan has been developed by the researcher
highlighting the various suggestive strategies that has been highlighted in the previous section.
The implementation plan provides the responsible head for undertaking every strategy, the
activity that needs to be taken for fulfilment of the strategy, the consequences of the strategy
along with its national and time frame for its completion.
2. Identification of issues in the case study
The first issue in context to this case study is in the culture prevailing among the work groups of
the home country. There is lack of communication between the working teams and this is

impression of resisting any attempt to change this organisational culture.

developed by this organisation is not developed within 6 months.
Both lateral and horizontal communication between the work groups is compromised and all the
staff are complaining that they are not guided adequately regarding their tasks.
The strategy of implementing line managers for establishing proper communication of the work
groups as well as the foreign units of assembly and production with the headquarters has also
partially failed. This is because, even after employment of line managers, the executive head is
still receiving email from the units in China, Vietnam as well as Singapore demanding
clarification for further progress of work on various points.
Poor diversity management in the organisation is another big issue. Lack of diversity
management is evident in the headquarters itself, where the employees are intolerant towards
other employees with generation gap.
The managers of the working units in China or Vietnam show intolerance towards employment
of the disabled, even if they have high working skills. Currently O'Meara is wearing that there
can be lawsuit filed against the organisation regarding this recruitment discrimination.
O’Meara realises that the lack of a proper HR policies for helping the employees to understand
each other is a big issue because of which the staff is influenced by each others perceptions.
There are various issues regarding performance management also. Performance reviews are
conducted by the Human Resource Department of Australia and there is no review of
