An old Indian company is in the field of animal nutrition for the past 25 years and is
wanting to grow its business in line with the global sector growth and business
opportunities. It is exploring the international opportunities and had want to enter in
Kazakhstan and Russia the Eurasian countries due to high potential for the nutrition
business. Derive a strategic plan for logistics, supply chain and a business plan to
succeed and establishing a strong foreign brand.
Answer to Question No 1:
The business organizations generally adopt different kinds of the business strategies
that are implemented in order to implement a proper and efficient growth of the business and
also ensure success of the business (Grant Trautrims and Wong 2017). The case that has been
provided here deals with an Indian nutrition provider company that has the experience in the
nutrition business for the past 25 years. The past 25 years of business of the Indian company
has surely made the company an expert in the company as because the organization has been
able to make the most of the supply chain demands in a proper and efficient manner. The
decision of the management of the company to enter the Russian and the Kazakhstan markets
has been mainly because of the great market for the different kinds of the nutrition products.
The entry mode of the company is highly meaningful choice as because it has selected a
developed and a partially developed market for its growth.
The company has decided to enter the market via the use of the equity mode which
enables the company to launch its fully owned subsidiary in the business market and also by
forming joint ventures with some local Russian company to expand themselves in the
Russian market. The use of the air freight services will be used to transport the products from
India to the two countries. There will be six different phases of the total supply chain

management of the company. It will first begin in India where the company will use its own
transport facilities to transfer the finished gods from its manufacturing different strategic
warehouses of the company. The second phase of the following process will involve the
transportation of the products from the warehouse of the company to the warehouses inside
the airport premises. The third phase will involve the transportation and loading of the
products into the freight transport airplane. The fourth phase will involve the unloading of the
goods from the freight plane and then storing then transporting them and storing them in the
local warehouses of the business organization. Lastly the fifth phase will involve the
transportation and storage of the goods and the services from the warehouses to the different
stores of Russia and Kazakhstan.
Question No 2:
SG electronics is a German manufacturing and marketing company is into white goods
mainly washing machines, refrigerators and sophisticated kitchen ware. What is the
approach strategy that the company would employ for the successful launch of its
products in the INDIAN market? Formulate a strategic logistics and SCM plan which
makes the company a top brand in the Indian market which is crowded with
international brands like LG, KENSTAR, BOSCH and SAMSUNG.
Answer to Question No 2:
SG Electronics as referred in the question is a German electronics company that
produces washing machines, refrigerators and different kinds of kitchenware. It is highly
essential for the foreign business organizations to identify different kinds of the target market
and also find different kinds of good local partners who have a proper knowhow of the local
market in a proper manner and are quite well acquainted with the different kinds of the
procedural issues. The management of the SG electronics has to explore different kinds of the

market options in India and can take the help of creating a subsidiary relationship or different
forms of Joint ventures. The company can also take the help of the other foreign companies
to sell their brands in India.
The management of SG electronics has to establish a proper and effective logistics
management strategy in order to ensure the success of the business in a proper and effective
manner. The logistical support for the business in India must be provided by a company that
have a large base in India. The company can also lease warehouses and store the electronic
products which are to be sold in the market. The leasing of the warehouses can decrease the
amount of expenses for the company and also ensure the increase in the profitability of the
business organization. The management of the company must lease a number of trucks to
transport the goods from the ports to the warehouses and also ensure the success of the
business in a proper and efficient manner. According to, Christopher (2016) the following
process can ensure success for the organization. The company can also use parcel shipping
strategies to ensure the business success in a proper and efficient manner. Thus the supply
chain of the business organization will start from the manufacturing units of the company in
Germany, its transportation to India and then again its storage in the warehouses and lastly its
transportation to the different showrooms and stores for the end users.
Question No 3:
A beverage company named Gold spot drinks is in the Indian market for the past 15
years with is soft drink brand GOLD SPOT. It is a family owned strong brand with
unstructured professional set up in place. Due to new government policy a foreign
company ABC want to enter India by investing in the company and capitalise on the
Gold spot brand and bring in its own brands into India.

success. The very first thing that must be undertaken by the business organization is t
adopt a demand driven planning and business operating model that is clearly based on
the real the real time demand insights and demand shaping (Coyle Langley Novack
and Gibson 2016). The proper prediction and the contingency planning must also be
ensured to ensure the success of the organization. The management of the
organization must also optimize the designs of the product management in order to
ensure a smooth supply, manufacturing and sustainability to accelerate the profitable
innovation of the new cold drinks and other products.
b. The management of ABC Company has to gather the necessary data and information
related to the market of India. It is important to gather the data in order to know the
tastes and preferences of the company and to also have a clear idea about the
competitors, places and prices that can be suitable to make the new products of ABC
Company acceptable to the Indian people (Grant Trautrims and Wong 2017). The
determination of the following elements thus helps the organization to ensure the
success of the organization. The ABC Company has to choose the location for the
new warehouses and the location for establishing its manufacturing plants. The
