Namche Bazaar is one of the oldest tourism destinations in the country of Nepal. It is
a town which is located with the Khumbu area at 3440 metres in the country. It is said to be
one of the oldest tourism centres. The town is also considered to be one of the ways by which
the expeditions start into the Himalayan Mountains. It is also the home to the Sherpas who
play an important role in the expeditions in the Himalayas. In the recent times, the town is
said to have developed in a small, colourful market town which sells different kinds of
climbing and trekking equipment for the mountaineers. Hence, it can be said that the city is
an important part of the tourism industry in the country of Nepal. Another reason why the
region is considered to be one of the main tourist attractions is because of the number of the
Himalayan peaks surrounding the areas. In addition to this, Sagarmatha National Park is also
nearby which also makes it a good destination.
The purpose of this annotated bibliography is to describe the impact of the
tourism in the area of the Namche Bazaar area of Nepal.
