INTRODUCTION
 The title of this study is “An Overview of the
Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics in
Agriculture: Benefits and Challenges” (Elijah,
Rahman, Orikumhi, Leow, & Hindia, 2018).
 It is completely based on the internet of thing
technology
 The aim of this paper is to analyse the concept of
IoT and their role in the field of agriculture

MAIN IDEA
 According to the investigators, the term IoT
refers to the information technology which is
used for communication purpose.
 It has the ability to integrate physical devices
and connected with other systems by using
internet connectivity.
 The main idea described by the authors is IoT
can be used in sector agriculture (Al-Fuqaha,
Guizani, Mohammadi, Aledhari, & Ayyash,
2015).

MAIN IDEA
 Wireless sensors networks are more effective
techniques which can be used in IoT.
 There are main four components of the IoT
technology which are the following:
 IoT devices
 communication techniques
 data processing
 data storage (Botta, De Donato, Persico, & Pescapé,
2016).
