Enterprise systems integration with Internet of Things (IoT)
The first paper describes regarding the IoT for enterprise systems of the
manufacturing that is modern in nature. This articles has presented the fact that design as well
as operation of a particular manufacturing enterprise usually deal with various categories
under the process of decision making at numerous levels as well as domains (Bi, Da Xu &
Wang, 2014). A system that is complex in nature usually has a huge number of different
variables for designs, and in this case the decision making process needs real time data. This
real time data is usually collected from various machines, business environments and
processes. This article also describes the fact that enterprise systems are utilized for the
purpose of supporting data acquisitions, all the activities of decision making and
communication. As a result, information technology infrastructure for the purpose of data
acquisition as well as sharing effects of performance of enterprise systems in a great manner
(Bi, Da Xu & Wang, 2014). The main objective of this particular article is investigating
various impacts of the emergence of Internet of Things on the enterprise systems in the field
of modern manufacturing. In order to achieve a specific objective, the evaluation of the
manufacturing systems paradigms has been presented in the aim of identifying various
necessities of the systems that support decision making in the distributed and dynamic
environments, various new advancements in the field of information technology have
overviewed as well as associated with the next generation paradigms of manufacturing (Bi,
Da Xu & Wang, 2014). Manufacturing has been woven in society as well as economy. An
example has been presented in this field, manufacturing takes around 12 percent of domestic
products and around 11 percent of workforce. Besides this, the significance of the
manufacturing is beyond the scope that os represented by the numbers. For example, the
sector of manufacturing usually takes around 19 percent of GDP along with around 30
percent of workforce. The article reflects on the fact that the presented percentage is

shrinking continuously for various decades. More number of enterprises had relocate their
facilities to the developing countries and it has been shown that the manufacturing industry is
in recession (Bi, Da Xu & Wang, 2014). Hence various new drivers have been identified for
boosting manufacturing is very crucial for regaining the position in the industry of
manufacturing.
The second article involves in discussing regarding the enterprise systems integration
with IoT in the wide industry of healthcare services. It highlights the fact that extensive
research is dedicated in exploring numerous technologies such as information technology in
the process of complementing as well as strengthening the present healthcare services
(Yuehong, Zeng & Chen, 2016). It describes that in particular, the utilization of the
technology, IoT is widely applied for interconnecting various medical resources and hence
provide effective, reliable as well as services that are smart in nature and provide healthcare
to old people as well as patients having chronic illness. The paper aims in summarizing
various applications of the IoT in this particular industry of the healthcare and hence identify
intelligentization trend as well as directions of the future research in the field of healthcare
industry. On the basis of various achievements presented by researchers, the advancement in
the technology of IoT in the particular industry of healthcare systems are examined from the
perspective of enabling methodologies and technologies, smart devices that are based on
Internet of Things, diverse applications of Internet of Things in the industry of healthcare and
many more (Yuehong, Zeng & Chen, 2016). This article also presents the challenges as well
as prospects of development of healthcare systems on the basis of the IoT.
The third article places the IoT in a wider context. This describes how IoT related to
the future of internet and hence where the value of the business line’s such that it would be
interesting for various enterprises for investing in numerous activities (Haller, Karnouskos &
Schroth, 2009). Real world awareness as well as decomposition of business processes are the
