INTRODUCTIONHealth and social care are the services that allows the people in leading a health and a good lifestyle. This mainly governs the improved mental and physical health of the people. This study will be totally based on the area that is Lambeth bourough. This community mainly focuses on public health. Also, it will provide various health protecting measures that will help people of lambeth borough in improving the health related issues of the community.This report will also discover the work of various public health professionals such clinicians, voluntary sector and all the residents to influence the changes which improves health. In addition to this, document will also describe characteristics of demographic population that and health profile of the Lambeth residents. Meanwhile, it will also discuss good progress in some health risks which can be achieved by good practices of health care professionals in the area. This context will explore various policy issues related to the improved health care medication to people. The study will also provide different types of public health provisions in borough.Demographic profileLambeth is an inner London borough and this one of the densely populated region of the country. It has a rapidly growing population which is about 10,556 people per square kilometers. Lambeth has 21 wards with six town center areas namely North Lambeth, stockwell, Clapham, Brixton, Streatham and Norwood. It mainly consists of diversified population which includes various ethnic and cultural traditions which have established their presence in particular town area over many decades. All the diversified people generally spoke 130 different languages which mainly includes almost 50% of young population. The birth rate per year in Lambeth is about 4837 which has rapidly increased over past ten years Health issuesThere are various health issues of the people of the Lambeth has been analyzed such as people struggling with mental health problem, pregnant smokers, Black & minority Ethnicity smokers. According to the Lambeth’s economic development strategy, the national average of the household is rapidly increasing from 7% to 22%. Almost 7.4% of the people are counted in working age residents which is generally claimed to be the largest age group.Infant mortality rate is one of the important indicators of Health inequalities. IMR can be defined as the number of deaths per 1000 live births under one year of age. It also affects

the lifestyle issue that leads to the drastic effects on the Lambeth residential population. In 2006- 2008 Infant Mortality rate which is about 5.5 in London as compared to average IMR in England which is about 4.8. Ethnic group is considered as a social group that shares a common and distinctive culture, religion and language. 37% of population is from Black and minority Ethnicity (BME) communities. In Lambeth, over 80000 residents were classified as Black Africans or Caribbean which is estimated to rise by year 2008. Also age and gender is one of the great concern of the area. In 2009, depending on the size of the registered population the prevalence is estimated at 7.3%. Life expectancy can be defined as the probable number of years remaining in the life of an individual. For both men and women is increasing rapidly form year 2006 to 2008. For men it is 75.5 years while it is 81 years for women in Lambeth Borough. Due to unemployment of the people, generally society is not aware about the various social health care services so this effects the health of the people in a society. 64% of population is unemployed and had a range of social and economic difficulties including debt and tendencyproblems. People working in a low income or living in poverty are mainly known to be the higher risk of cardiovascular disease. Impacts of health inequalities and its preventionLambeth’s commitment to health inequalities is one of the great concern in which people of the society are suffering from the lack of public health awareness. The public healthdirectorate works closely with Lambeth’s community health services and SEL health protection unit in order to improve the immunization rates, infection control incidents and reduce the healthcare associated invention (HCAI). There are various health care impacts on the people of Lambeth Borough such impacts along with their preventions are as follows:Obesity levels in UK have risen rapidly over the last two decades. This have leads towards the risk factor for cardiovascular disease among the people of Lambeth borough. An inequality in health is also associated with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. This can also be resolved by ensuring the support and resources available in order to promote healthy weight of the childrenSmoking is also considered as one of the main concern which continues to be one of the great causes of ill health and health inequalities. It causes various diseases like cancer and circulatory disease. Also, this result in poor quality of life and premature mortality. .
