INTRODUCTION
Business studies is a prominent term that includes the several activities to attain the
objectives and attracting the customers within the organisation. It helps the business enterprise to
sustain in the market. This report is based on Sainsbury's that is one of the largest company in
UK that deals in food, home wares etc. This project report includes the role of Human resource,
financial and marketing function within the Sainsbury that helps in smooth running the activities
of the working area so that more profits can be enjoyed by the firm. It also inculcates the several
collaboration at the working area that helps in accomplishing the targets effectively and on a
specify period of time. Further it also involves the role of financial management and reporting so
that capital and monetary resources are to be reserved successfully so that organisation can invest
more to gain the higher growth and market share(Ghauri, Grønhaug and Strange, 2020).

Role of Human resource function within Sainsbury's
There are several roles that a human resource can function in the Sainsbury to manage the
workforce of the working area that can be shown below:
 Recruitment and selection- In case of Sainsbury's the human resource can perform the
role of hiring and attracting the number of candidates with or outside the company so that
objectives can be attained effectively. In this HR manager can function to advertise the
vacant job so that interested candidate can apply and firm will receive the best applicant
for filling the position.
 Maintaining records of employees- Another major role of Human resource maanger
within Sainsbury's is to maintain all the records of the workers so that human resource
department can effectively examine the skills of the employees that is useful to offering
the training to the candidate and enhance their overall capabilities to completing the
targets on time frame(Van Tulder, Verbeke and Piscitello, 2018).
Role of Finance function Sainsbury's
In case of Sainsbury's, role of finance function is very prominent as it helps in assisting
all the capital and monetary resources of the business enterprise so that profitable results can be
