Information technology is playing vital role in success of business. This is because it has
provided a platform for them to expand at global level and provide products and services to
them. apart from that, IT has also helps in enhancing operational efficiency of business by which
they are able to attain goals and objectives in effective way. It is stated that there are many
technology used by organisation that are AI, IOT, AR, VR, etc. apart from that, the use of
technology has enabled in improving weak areas and maintaining quality of product as well. in
this report it will be described about role of IT in business success. Also, what are ethical and
social issues. Besides that, different types of network technology been used company is
explained and SDLC stages.

IT is playing vital role in success of business. It has provided opportunity to them on
basis of which they are able to reach more customers and produce new products. Moreover, IT
has become an integral part of organisation. In every function it is been used such as marketing,
SCM, HR, R&D, etc. Similarly, in Tesco as well IT is used in various operations such as :
Customer services – here, CRM software is installed and used by firm which has led to providing
high quality care services to customers. Moreover, the software has enabled in storing data and
info of customers by which they are able to find out their needs. In addition, the complaints are
being solved in quick way as Tesco is directly able to communicate with customers. with this

planning. With that company is easily able to solve complex problems and manage their
resources in efficient way. They also monitor what resources are being utilised in effective way.

Marketing and promotion- Digital marketing is effectively been used by Tesco in promoting
their products and services. in this company uses various technique such as e mail, social media,
etc. by which they are able to reach large number of people. furthermore, cost of doing
marketing has reduced that has enabled in focusing on other areas. Besides that, attractive
marketing is done by making videos, infographic, etc.

effective decisions. in this there are many advance technology used such as big data, Google

about future. So, on basis of that strategy is developed and planning is done. thus, decisions are

process. this can be found that technology has reduced human work. for example- robots are
