INTRODUCTION
Management is one of the essential functions of organisation that helps in optimum
utilisation of available resources so that company can gain competitive advantages. Recruitment
and management of diverse individual that have different culture, skills and tradition is difficult
for manager therefore various approaches or strategies can be used to retain maximum
employee’s satisfaction. Employee’s loyalty helps in reducing cost of hiring new employees and
better customers experience and services so that firm can grow and expand its business across
worldwide. Organisational culture or work place also plays important role in motivating most of
the individual to work hard so that company can achieve its specific goals and earn more
profitability. Company can sustain its business through building and maintain strong brand
image by fulfilling needs of various customers. Firm needs to improve or enhance its customer’s
services so that maximum number of individual can be motivated to make purchase of particular
products and services as compared to other companies. This report is about Arcadia Group that is
a leading fashion retailer in UK and deals in various brands such as Outfit, Topshop and Miss
Selfridge. It has covered various management and operational challenges that are faced by
company such as staffing, recruitment and selection of appropriate candidate for high street
stores. It also have discussed about work culture and the way Arcadia group can became
sustainable business in fashion retailer. At last it has explained about the way poor quality of
customer’s services in the stores of South East region can be enhanced.
