lINTRODUCTION
Management refers a set of principles which includes various functions such as planning,
organizing, directing and controlling etc. The functions are main resources which supports
organization to achieve the goals. Human resource management plays vital role to conduct
various functions in company so that each employee becomes responsible at workplace and
assists to meet business objectives. To understand people management there is an example of a
Easy Jet company (DICKMANN, BREWSTER and SPARROW, 2016). It is British low cost
airline group company. Headquarter of company establishes at London Luton airport which
provides domestics and international scheduled services among thirty countries. This report will
cover leadership and management and why is it important for company.
lMAIN BODY
lTASK 1
lLEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
Leadership is a style which motivates number of employees to act towards accomplish
common goal of organization. Easy jet is airline company which follows transformation
leadership style to motivate number of employees at workplace (Dugdale, Negre and Turoff,
2018). On the basis of style manager of airline company cooperates team by identifying their
employees needs, sets goals to guide them by inspiration and leads changes in employees
performance at workplace. Manager of airline company adapts transformation leadership style in
which includes four type of components. Such as -
Intellectual stimulation: Manager encourage team to introduce creative ideas so that company
gets new ways of doing things (Chan and et.al., 2019). Beside of this manager organizes skill
development programs for team members so that gets opportunity to learn new skills and applies
at job place. Manager also gives challenging task to employees where they get chance to explore
new ideas and ways. Thus, manager boosts employees confidence.
