Executive Summary
The assignment aims at creating an investment policy statement for the Senior Citizens
Recreational Club for a period of six months whereby the investment would be specifically done
in the various Australian financial instruments. The key financial instruments that in specific
terms has been considered for the investment purpose are equity, debt and cash. The proportion
or ratio of investment that in specific terms has been considered is done by investing 50% weight
in equity, 20% in bonds and another 30% in cash and cash equivalents. The investment done has
been specifically followed with the help of the investment policy statement that has been
prepared for the Club which have helped in the overall investment process. The investment done
will be considered specifically for the comparing with the returns generated by the cash
maximizer account for the time period that has been analyzed. In order to well compare and
analyze the return generated from the portfolio, weekly data of the stocks has been in specifically
considered for analysis purpose.

Introduction
The investment management report has been specifically considered for the client based
on the portfolio created for a notional sum of $500,000 whereby the sum would be invested in a
mix of equity, debt and cash investment on a specific note. The investment considered will be
guided by the Investment Portfolio Statement that has been prepared for the time period of 1st
February 2019- 31st July 2019. In order to well analyze the performance of the portfolio, weekly
analysis of the portfolio performance has been done so that the risk and return analysis could be
done accordingly for the portfolio.
Discussion and Analysis
Investment Goals and Objectives
It is important to well identify the various investment objectives and goals that a client
might have and the same would be well done by applying a set of techniques and principles
which will be considered for analysis and investment purpose. The IPS prepared for the client
would be acting as a key guide for the client which would be helping in the better analysis and
application of the various investment strategy (Lee 2019). The investment goals of the Club
would be to earn a consistent return of about 6-8% and risk level that is associated with the
investment would be considered on a moderate basis. Liquidity requirement is considerably
moderate to high level and the same has been due to the nature and profile of client for whom the
portfolio has been built. The time horizon for which the investment portfolio would be built will
be done for a sum of six months whereby investment and portfolio will be constructed on 31st
January 2019 (Padma and Rambabu 2017). The investment done would be analysed both on an
individual stock basis and also from the view perspective of portfolio so that the client and the
fund manager get to know about the performance of the portfolio (Shimizu and Shiohama 2019).
