1 PART A: Initial Investigation1.1SummaryGood Health Clinic is a clinic founded in 2010 by two cardiologists who had the aim of preventative medicine by helping patients maintain their personal health, fitness and by providing traditional medical care. The Clinic got other stakeholders who joined the clinic to become partners. The clinic is on an upward trend and has managed to acquire some staff who have been allocated different responsibilities according to their expertise in order for the clinic to handle the large growing customer base. The clinic accepts health insurance covers for almost all of it patients.

1.3Business functionsThe following business functions will be handled by the new information system.Payroll of the employees in the clinic. The new system should be able to handle the payroll of all the employees working in the clinicThe new system should be able to handle all the patient records. This should work for patients who are already using the current system of registering patients and for new patients that will visit the clinic. The new system should be able to maintain a record of all insurers. The system should also maintain a record of all claims filed by the insurer. The claims should be gotten from the system where by patients who have an insurance cover with a specific insurance company can be fetched when the insurer wants to pay the claims. The system should be able to handle patient bookings and remind the staff in charge of appointments of incoming appointments so that the staff responsible can call the patients to remind them and to confirm the appointment. The system should also maintain a record of clinical supplies by handling all suppliers who supply the clinic and recording all supplies made to the clinic. The system should also help in preparing monthly reports for various aspects of the business for example the profit or loss brought by different products.2. Activity 2- Vision document.1.1 IntroductionThis paper discusses the vision for the proposed Good Health Clinic Management system. Currently Good Health Clinic is using a lot of paper work to carry on its day to day businesses and operations. For example patient records are maintained in books and so the patient booking records. Basically everything that involves recording of data for future reference is done using books. This has created a significant problem for the clinic as use of books to keep records is becoming very tedious because of the increasing number of patients enrolling to the clinic. The ripple effect of the growth in numbers of the patients enrolling for different clinic services provided by the clinic means that there are more records to maintain thus the need for the new proposed management system.1.2PurposeThe purpose of the purpose of the proposed system is to provide better and the most efficient record keeping. The proposed system will also go a long way in helping some operations carried in the clinic. The clinic currently has a lot of records generated daily by the different operations that are taking place in the clinic. For the recording keeping process to keep up with the daily activities happening in the clinicthe clinic has to acquire a management system. The data recorded in the management system can be easy to analyze using different types of reports thus it will ultimately make decision making in the clinic easier. A new management system will also make sure that Good Health Clinic embraces the current technology so that it stays relevant in the market.

1.3Block DiagramThe block diagram is used to give a conceptual environment of the proposed system by showing different components of the system and how they will interact with the external factors. The external factors in this case are systems or entities that are external to the system. For example users are external to the proposed system.Figure 2: Block diagram
