Basically used for an organization rather than an individualNetworking/telecommunications platforms:wide area networks (WAN)metropolitan area networks (MAN)local area networks (LAN)Internet area networks (IAN)campus area networks (CAN)virtual private networks (VPN)Data management and storage:It to the management of the data storage equipment's that are used to store the user / computer generated data. So it is a tool or set of processes used by an administrator to keep your data and storage equipment’s safe.Consulting system integration services:It is a process in which consultations are contacted for integrating the services of a system.Internet platforms:Internet as a collaboration platform.Internet as a online entrepreneurship platform.Internet as a education platform.Security issuesCloud security issues mainly revolve around the following issues:Dynamic scaling of applications with the support of Cloud computingThe introduction of cloud computing has enabled the organizations to make their applications scalable. The cloud computing services has certain core categories. These are different in character and services. Cloud computing service covers almost all online services. Cloud hosting services offers three hybrid cloud models of cloud services.Role and responsibility of an IT infrastructure managerCloud ComputingCloud computing is the delivery of computing services—servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and more—over the Internet (“the cloud”). Companies offering these computing services are called cloud providers and typically charge for cloud computing services based on usageVirtualizationVirtualization is a concept in computing wherein we hide the real resources and the complexities of their implementation from end users, for various benefits such as security, optimization, consolidation etc.Use of cloud computing and virtualizationThe cloud computing and virtualization provides the enterprises with the solution that would help them in automating their business processes.SaaS:SaaS transfers the task of software management and deployment to other services.PaaS:PaaS takes care of operating system, network infrastructure and server hardware.IaaS:IaaS provides their clients a direct access to their servers and storage.Dynamic Scaling:On-demand self-service Ubiquitous network access Elasticity and scalability Horizontal and Vertical ScalabilityResource PoolingPay-per-useStandardized interfacesThe subpoena issue:Legally if the data are subpoena then nothing force the cloud provider to notify the user. This is a huge deal because the users have no way to know about the subpoena and resist it.The collocation issue:When an application runs in the cloud the user has no idea who run a VM on the same hardware. It is fairly easy for an attacker to use a VM that run on the same hypervisor to steal your data. The infrastructure security issue:When in the cloud the user is relying on the cloud provider to secure the underlying infrastructure. Since there is no way to audit it, using a given cloud provider it is basically a leap of faith for the user. The trust issue:Attesting code in the cloud is a difficult problem. It is possible to virtualize the TPM.Peers and ReportingStaff ManagementVendor ManagementEstablish Standards and ProceduresStrategyMonitoring and ReportingInfrastructure SoftwareFollowing roles and responsibilities are very important for an IT infrastructure manager to have:BibliographyBraojos-Gomez, J., Benitez-Amado, J., & Montes, F.
