are not aware that the problems is affecting on their wellness. It is cause of depression. Furthermore,
are not highly engaged in treating joint pain and with time it is increasing.
This issue is important as it will help in promoting healthy well being. It is found that 1 out of 5
above age of 45 in UK is suffering from this issue. Besides, there is rise in knee replacement surgery as
it is because people are not involved in maintaining physical health. So, in old age people this issue is
from 15 to 21%. There are several factors due to which arthritis and osteoarthritis problems is

necessary to live healthy life.
So, the objective of this artifact is to promote health and wellness. Many people who are of old
age suffer from joint pain. Furthermore, it will help in promoting well being of individual and motivating
them to become aware about arthritis and osteoarthritis problems. Here, it relate to both things. Health
means physical, mental and social well being and wellness means to improve well being and live healthy
life. It will also make people aware about what type of treatment is available to reduce pain. In addition,
how they can easily maintain physical health by reducing pain in joints.
Success of artifact
This artifact will highly help in fulfilling needs of people. It will make them aware about what
are ways of treating arthritis and osteoarthritis problems. In addition, people will get relief from stress and
depression as their joint pain will reduce. Furthermore, it will change behavior of people to maintain health
and wellness. Also, it will help in taking support of care workers to fulfill needs. It will promote clear
message of living healthy life and improving well being by solving arthritis and osteoarthritis problems.
However, success will depend on how much people wellness is enhanced.
Health promotion theory
There are several health promotion models and theories used. The use depends on how health
is promoted within people. Thus, here health belief model (1966) was proposed by Irwin and is known
as influential model. In this there are 4 elements that are perceived susceptibility, perceived severity,
perceived barriers and perceived cost of intervention. Also, factors which relate to motivation in it are
susceptibility and fear of disease. The model include people response to illness and their behavior.
Along with that, many components such as demographic, self efficacy, health motivation, etc were
included in it. Moreover, model state that health related action is more likely to be seen when action is
view cost effective. Also, outcomes obtains are effective as well.
Besides, by emphasizing on negative factor and eliminate positive motivation results in
promoting healthy behavior. The model focus on individual factor rather than socio economic and
