Introduction
Kellogg’s is one of the most well known companies in the food and beverage department.
They have taken the oath of feeding the entire planet with food that is tasty and healthy. This is
mainly because of the fact that they are trying to make considerable amount of positive
contributions towards the planet (kelloggcompany.com.2020). They have always tried to set
exemplary instances by feeding the people in need and also by nurturing the planet in their own
ways (Kolthoff & Nelen, 2019).
They are developing the environmental friendly methods of production and
manufacturing so that there is less emission of the harmful gasses. The harmful gasses are like
greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The company tries their level best to make sure that their
waste is not left u treated. They have developed some collaboration with the suppliers—whose
collective impacts are greater than their own—to help them reduce their environmental footprints
(Harriss, MacSween & Atkinson, 2019).

Kellogg’s is mainly doing a good work in the field of food and beverage department,
They have done some considerable works in order to make sure that one can hold a good
relevance in this sector. Sustainable packaging is one of the most significant works that have
been done by them. They are trying to make sure that there are no harmful impacts of their
packaging over the environment (kelloggs.ca. 2020).
The company is trying to make sure that their packaging material is toxin free and is
recyclable and biodegradable in nature. They are trying their level best to make sure that the

plastics are not being dumped into the sea bed or are not being dumped onto the landfill. It is
because of this reason that is trying to go for some collaboration with suppliers or stakeholders
who will be able to work towards the sustainability development goals.
Ethical and responsible business standard
Breakfasts for Better Days, is one of their major milestones to achieve in terms of the
SDG or the sustainability development goals. One of the major goals of sustainable development
is to make sure that there is zero hunger in the world. Kellogg’s is trying their level best to make
sure that they are being able to feed a major section of the world who is suffering from hunger
and poverty. This program was launched in the year 2013. Since then they have been trying their
best to make sure that children who are below the poverty line are being supplied with a good
and healthy breakfast in their schools so that they are able to start their days with a good start
(Chiumento et al., 2017). They have been successful in providing 1.9 billion servings of food
since 2013. They have already been able to surpass goal of one billion servings by 2016. They
are working everyday and following the method of constant improvement to make them better by
working over the same.
Supporting 500,000 farmers, their families and communities is also one of the major CSR
initiatives through which they try to involve the local or the native people and also try to
generate the employment opportunity.
That’s why, in 2018, Kellogg announced the expansion of its Global Sustainability
Commitments to include a goal of working toward 100 percent reusable, recyclable or
compostable packaging by the end of 2025

approach as well. This is because of the fact that they try to arrange for regular meetings

that are being followed by the company in their attempt for booting the local economy.
They are trying to recruit people for the community farms, local community food banks
and breakfast programs

Therefore it can be concluded that the company is already doing a good job in terms of
maintaining their social and their ethical standards. They have been doing good job in reducing
their environmental footprint and also in reducing the emission of the harmful gasses. They are
following the method of constant improvement strategy and will be soon able to develop their
reputation.
