1. The Primary Concepts of Scope Management
Scope management can be defined as a process in which the different outcomes, benefits
and necessary outputs after the development of the project would be identified, defined and
controlled for gaining positive feedback after project development.
The primary concepts of scope management are:
The concept of management of requirements based on the needs for the development of
the project is highly required during the development of scope. In this stage, the
requirements are gathered as per the needs of stakeholder and the possible criteria’s
(Hackenberg, Richter & Zäh, 2014). This concept also describes the proper needs of
stakeholders within the project development but would not provide assurance of meeting
up to the expectation.
The development of solutions based on the requirements of the project would be carefully
sought. The solutions would be based on the requirement of stakeholders. The developers
of the project would also investigate on providing value to the solutions for the
achievement of best value.
The management of benefits would be essential during developing the scope of the
project. During the stages of project development, the requirements for the project would
be highly needed (Chih & Zwikael, 2015). This criteria mostly runs in parallel with the
management of requirements and development of solutions. They further also utilize the
concept of change management.
The change management concept defined within scope management primarily deals with
the process of transforming the project development scenario. This concept is highly
