INTRODUCTION
Individual competence improvement entails assessing individual's principal professional
objective and improving somebody's talents and attributes in order to achieve future
effectiveness (Chear and Yunus, 2019). Those could help a user's existence become more
mature, successful, and fulfilled. Many people work to improve your abilities so that people
might improve their lives and achieve their eventual objective. Each learner must enhance their
abilities in several areas throughout their educational endeavours in order to be ready for a future
commercial vocation. All through this work, I would discuss the abilities and talents which I had
already developed within my scholastic career which should assist me in coping with the
commercial world and increasing my effectiveness.

My skills, leanings, and abilities
In this section, I will talk about the abilities I had at the start of the 2020-21 scholastic
sessions and compare them to the ones I hold currently. A few of the talents I possessed at the
start of the educational semester have transformed into my advantages, while others want
additional work to improve. Throughout that period, I was also taught several unique capabilities
which will help me advance in my work in the upcoming. The following are the abilities and
attributes to which I have been presented.
Communication skills
The capacity to speak, read, and hear are all part of the communicating abilities. We could
comprehend what some other folks are talking and thinking when we have that ability, and that
we could also grasp our own thoughts and sentiments unless we have it. The individual who
could really interact more effectively can talk effectively and accurately by using a language that
is optimistic and appropriate for the situation (Dinning, 2017). I was not really a strong speaker
initially in the scholastic semester, and I had difficulty expressing, particularly vocally. However,
as the weeks had passed, I've started sticking to specific practises to improve my speaking skills.
I joined many groups and encountered a number of individuals with someone whom I talked on a
regular basis. In addition, I visited numerous training and conferences on the subject of

communicating capabilities. They showed me a variety of ways for improving my talents, which
I implemented in my regular living. Moving on, I concentrated so much on my vocabulary,
phrasing, readability, and other aspects of writing interaction in order to improve my
performance. I had to speak to each person of the organizations, and over time, I developed into
an excellent speaker with the group participants, which finally aided me in my entire educational
profession. Today I could confidently assert that I am an excellent linguist capable of negotiating
or making a contract with anybody.
Interpersonal skills
Interpersonal capabilities are the abilities required to become gregarious by interacting
with others. Such abilities might include both spoken and cognitive interactions and reactions
with each other in community. They have an impact on our ability to form connections and make
impacts on members of community in public interactions. In relation to individual abilities, I
received a pretty lower score. I couldn't manage my emotions at the start of my educational
career, and as a result, I struggled greatly because I couldn't establish any acquaintances.
Subsequently, I read various literature regarding individual qualities and interpersonal
connection, which allowed me understand individual interactions more straightforwardly. A
worker with high interpersonal abilities has a positive attitude and is able to regulate his or her
feelings. Furthermore, they constantly exhibit curiosity in and attentive attention capacity to any
other user's competence (Kong, Effendi and Matore, 2020). I received those concepts after
reading a few publications and began to use them in my lifestyle. Such interpersonal relations
attributes are critical to achieving achievement in both private and corporate existence. I have
had to deal with my colleagues on a regular basis during my scholastic career, so I strive to
minimize disagreements and confrontation with companions as much as possible. In my work
life, I would have to prevent confrontation among my co-workers and regulate my feelings
whenever I am in a corporate atmosphere. I aim to accomplish higher in my future profession if I
continue to practise those characteristics.
Team working skills
Collaboration qualities are a set of interconnected qualities that allow us to function
effectively in a squad or as part of a crew. Each learner needs collaboration abilities because they
would be employed in an organisation in which the companies divide practically each activity into
different departments of the institution. While everybody in a group works together and uses

respective strengths to achieve shared goals, it is said to be successful collaboration. The optimal
moment to develop such ability is during your scholastic career. Each learner in educational career
is required to complete numerous team projects which teach students how to complete a job with the
assistance of the entire team. Since I first began performing effectively in relation to individual
abilities, my cooperative and collaboration seemed reasonably decent. I was indeed the team's
manager, and I was in charge of communicating with my teammates, managing schedule, listening
to various ideas, and ultimately completing the assignment. As the squad's unit manager, I practised
strategies to increase the squad's excellence and to bring every one of the perspectives together into
a cohesive viewpoint. As a result, I believe I am ready to begin my profession in a commercial
setting, and I am confident that I would perform well throughout each scenario alongside my
colleagues (Mumford and Roodhouse, 2016).
Numeracy skills
Mathematics capabilities are abilities which allow us to communicate and analyse
quantitative facts in order to resolve real-world problems. In this, the functionalities are the
ability to comprehend simpler quantitative notions, and much more advanced mathematics
competencies are the ability to existing details or a group of statistics utilising charts, analytic
methods, algorithmic ideas, as well as other possibilities to decipher and pertain a certain details
in a timely manner circumstances. I was proficient in quantitative phrases from the start of my
scholastic semester. Throughout my 2 years at this institution, I had already taken several
quantitative classes which have helped me improve my understanding. I've also worked on
certain investigations that required me to employ a bunch of visuals and spreadsheet programs,
which allowed me to improve my mathematical expertise. This expertise would be extremely
useful to me if I decide to pursue a career as an attorney, money manager, marketing analyst,
banker, or even other tax adviser.
Information and communication (ICT) skills
ICT capabilities are the abilities that allow us to communicate with others via the use of
advanced techniques. Such abilities necessitate a thorough understanding of how to efficiently
operate various computing applications in order to create engagement through the use of an
interacting networking. Furthermore, numerous advancements are developing in the sphere of
ICT, and knowing how to handle such technology would aid a person's prospective professional
survival. I've been competent at handling these tools since the start of my scholastic semester,

and I've constantly kept a watch on the daily advancements. To stay current in this field, I read a
number of technical publications, papers, and periodicals. In addition, I've taken a number of
education classes to improve my capacity to operate with information, the web, as well as other
technologies. Because such abilities are so important for someone's vocation to succeed in the
corporate arena, I continue to learn new things each day (Ponciano and Yan, 2017).
Problem-solving skills
Issue resolution abilities are ones which enable us to have a deeper grasp of an issue and
develop together with a viable remedy by combining reasoning and creativity. A competent issue
fixer could foresee potential prospective difficulties and undertake the required steps to avoid or
lessen the adverse consequences. My problem-solving abilities just weren't up to par during my
previous scholastic semester. Expertise and knowledge, imaginative and inventive ideas, a
sideways perspective, tolerance and agility, ambition, and so on are all required for this
competence. To develop such talents, I began to deal with a variety of actual issues, and my
instructors and colleagues aided me greatly in this endeavour. To succeed in a corporate job, you
should be able to solve issues effectively. As a result, I'm concentrating more on other abilities.
Time management skills
The method we organise and plan how much hours we will invest on various tasks is referred
to as time managing. Increased effectiveness and quality, a stronger corporate image, and prospects
for growth are all benefits of time managing abilities. Since the beginning of my school semester,
I've had effective work organization abilities. For just about any specific assignment, I rarely asked
for an extension. Time planning would be crucial for me to be effective in my working life. The
classes and tasks I've taken during my scholastic career have trained me how to excel in such areas.

APPLICATION OF THEORIES AND MODEL
The episode on which I will reflect happened after I graduated and began working for a
multinational corporation. I was assigning sales executives to the sales team and giving them an
assignment to promote a brand. Another example of bad communication is accusing a teammate of
becoming a fool or an idiotic for suggesting a plan that needs an overhaul, or alluding to their
colleagues as lethargic rather than focusing on specific hurdles to higher productivity. Whenever a

event, I was excited to work with this team leader, who has a lot of expertise and is always eager to
learn new things that would help me in the future. At the time, his conduct was upsetting me
because he was reacting in a very negative manner and taking it personally, which is not
professional behaviour. After confronting both good and bad aspects of the circumstance, I have
gained a greater knowledge of my role. I was depressed after the event, but on the other hand, I was
reviewing my job to see how I might enhance my role and improve my communication abilities.
Following the event, it was determined that individuals with development of cognitive sometimes
struggle to adjust to unfamiliar situations, implying that dealing with anything outside their typical
routine might result in bad behaviour. The sales personnel should know how to communicate with
customers and persuade them to buy their goods.
