Introduction:With the acceptance of Project charter of playground project by the council fora new community playground, this report depicts the project managementplan of new playground project for the community. Council has allocated 1000meter square of green space and budget of $2, 50,000.Council has allocated asmall project team to render services such as site preparation, installation ofpathways, installation of soft-fall base and landscaping. The project team andother associates have access to council’s building, gardening, and earthworksequipment. The project team comprises of Project Manager, landscapegardener, a concreter, plumber, portable services provider and park benchretailer. The playground equipment will be supplied by Fun Kids PlayEquipment Company to further assist in completion and objectives of thisproject. Analysis of project schedule is necessary for the commencement of the projecthas been utilized with the help of WBS, Gantt charts and AoN charts. Aseparate excel sheet containing of all the calculations has been attached tobetter understand the project and the entire team member’s deliverables.This Project management plan will also give an estimate resource overloadsand constraints (if any), proper risk management practices and its mitigation,budgetary requirements, and list, change and stakeholder’s management withproject closure elements i.e., audits. 2

TASK 1 & 2: Theory of Project Planning & Project Management PlanWBSAs defined by Kloppenborg, Anantatmula & Wells (2019, p. 220) project Workbreakdown Structure (WBS) is a tool which is product-oriented or deliverablesof a certain project work that are visualized in a most efficient way tocommunicate project elements. These elements are rendered in graphicalformats such in organizational flow chart or free format charts that divide thedeliverables of a project into smaller sections or pieces (Kloppenborg,Anantatmula & Wells 2019, p. 221).This stands true as per Kloppenborg, Anantatmula & Wells (2019, p. 222)WBShas been described as a “cornerstone” of effective planning, controlling,execution and reporting of the project. The work rendered within the WBSneeds to be identified, scheduled, budgeted, or any rectification. Initial fundingfor the project has been received; the Project Lead or the supervisor isresponsible to develop WBS based on such initial funding to allocate it to theproper budget requirements. As planning the project requires properdiscipline, systematic process, and visibility of the work to be executed for thepurpose of the business objectives. The table below gives information of new playground community project withWBS number, deliverables, and activity list. Activities are the actions that willproduce the deliverables. Often the WBS is created at the same time as theactivity list[ CITATION Tim19 \l 1033 ]Each of the work tasks has been allocated a code of work breakdown taskwhich helps for planning, controlling, and organizing various tasks. Thecompletion of the task is the duration period i.e., days and commencementdate of the project with estimated end dates of the task. The estimatedcompletion date with ribbon cutting ceremony has been estimated1 on 28thAugust 2021. 1It is an estimated date, it may or may not affect the work (such as natural or human-made calamities) which may see extension in the completion of the project.3

RACI Chart:RACI chart or RACI matrix is visual representation of the key roles and responsibilities of each team member within theproject (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula & Wells 2019, p. 297). RACI stands for (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula & Wells 2019, p.297).:The WBS chart will be used to identify RACI of the new playground project for the community, where I can be clearly seenas the project manager with the most authorities in the several deliverables. As the project commences the differentdeliverables has different responsible person involved for the completion and success of the project. The RACI chart canbe found in the below table 2:7RA person/group “responsible” for the actual work executed.AA person/group “accountable” for the success of the activity and is adecision maker.CA person/group that needs to be “consulted” for various details andrequirements.IA person/group who is kept “informed” for the major updates.
