Introduction
This lesson learnt report depicts the importance of suing the concept of Information and
knowledge management system in the business organization to gain commercial success, long
term benefits and competitive advantages as well. It is expected that if all the needful measures
are successfully followed by the assigned project manager and project team members then the
challenges that the nominated organization was facing will be reduced from the service and
application of the healthcare organization. The healthcare organization that has been nominated
in this report is T.A.R.D.I.S. This company runs a large collection of medical center in
Tasmania. T.A.R.D.I.S. organization offers high quality health care services to the needy
patients. The company also offers high range of professional range of medical and specialization
services to the patients.
The organization is now willing to expand their business from the current status as
recently they have acquired a new medical center that has increased the numbers of patients. It
has been determine that the organization is facing data integrity challenge and needs to resolve
the data integrity issues (Venkitachalam and Willmott 2017). Different issues that the
organization is facing these days are data redundancy and less digitally intelligent
communication system. It has been assumed that with successful implementation of information
and knowledge management system the issues that the company is recently facing can be
resolved.

2KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
Problems identified in T.A.R.D.I.S.
T.A.R.D.I.S. health care center runs a cluster of medical company in Tasmania. The
service providers are extremely focused to deliver quality health care services to the needy and
emergency patients of Tasmania. The healthcare operations served by the company are highly
caring, user friendly and specialized as well. Recently the company is willing to expand their
business from the current situation.
The health care organization has currently adopted a new medical center which has
increased the patient numbers along within the Tardis system. The company is trying to merge
the data stored in the old system and in the new system as well, while merging data, data
redundancy is taking place. Due to lack of digital intelligent the system is operating slowly.
However, the steering committee of T.A.R.D.I.S. has identified the data integrity requirements in
their operational and functional activities. The data integrity requirements are mandated by
legislation. The company is failing to integrate and manage patient’s records successfully
(Omotayo 2015). In order to resolve these challenges the company is willing to implement
advanced information and knowledge management system in their operational and functional
activities.
Solutions
It has been determine that, all business organizations can successfully avail benefits from
the people sharing, innovation, reuse, collaboration and learning. With the implementation of
information as well as knowledge management system T.A.R.D.I.S would be able to make sure
that the information and knowledge needs of the company are being maintained appropriately. It
is also determined that with the successful implementation of theses aspects the company

T.A.R.D.I.S. would become much ITC intelligent in terms of the information and knowledge
management strategies.
In order to become a digitally intelligent company T.A.R.D.I.S. should adopt various
technical operational and functional advancements. The technological advancements are
accompanied in a new generation of digital transformation and driving requirements for
becoming more analytics in nature (Santoro et al. 2018) The transformation represents different
opportunities for giving all the employees, consumers and partners immediate imminent. The
company requires looking into different advanced forward looking insights. It has been
determine that theses advancement will help the company to become an intelligent enterprise.
The executive of the company have started understanding and realizing the value of
technology in business organization and also identifies the way through which the application
can govern a business towards success pathway or direction. The T.A.R.D.I.S. requires adding
more technical support to make the operation of T.A.R.D.I.S. much intelligent. T.A.R.D.I.S. has
merged their current system with the older system and also merged all patients’ information
together.
It has been determined that information management is a very essential thing for business
success and commercial growth. It is the responsibility of the information technology officer of
the company to adopt and uptake the entire technical supporting infrastructure to make sure that
no information is being hijacked or hacked by the external attackers (Peltier 2016). With
increasing timeline the process of data management has become more complex as the numbers of
staffs and numbers if information both gets increased. Manual data management system
increases the overall system complexity. The identified issues of the manual data management
