Teamwork
During the experience at Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network, I have focused on
teamwork for the role of Administration of Medications at the cell door. My professional
experience is in nursing and clinical health. Teamwork is what I have understood with the core
concepts that have strengthened my knowledge about safe work practices (NSW Government,
2018). Teamwork encourages safe work practices that are implemented in the task and action
plans as prepared and reviewed in taking initiatives with an action plan and clinical practice
improvement team.
Teamwork is a process that a leader assures and makes efforts to achieve the strategic outcome
of an organization (Hu & Liden 2015). I believe that teamwork is a continuous process that leads
to coordinate people and execute the plans and projects while maintaining a positive relationship
with people and stakeholders. A team has a common goal to achieve while it develops effective
relationships with the team members in achieving the goal of an organization (Liff & Wikström
2015). As per my experience and knowledge, teamwork relies on the team members who take

organization. The team is an integral part that incorporates and delivers results with successful
performance of an organization. The major part relies on creating an environment that satisfies
and contributes a major emphasizes on participation and effective team environment (Kozlowski

As the role of administration of medications, I had to work on the preparation of medications and
administration in the unit (NSW Government, 2018). In the preparation of a medication unit, I
had to work on preparation of medications that works on delayed administration, record the
medication administration, medication to be given after administration, as per the policy that is
1.020, medication has to be prepared, administer to the patients, ensure that all the equipment for
the task are taken to the units with secure medication and container and check personal duress
alarm before leaving the center. These were the roles that I had performed as it was reviewed
with the presence of NSW staff to ensure secure medication. The role of administration in the
unit was to remove the patient’s medication as per the policy, takes medication to the main cell,
identify the patient as per the identity card, check that the patient mediation chart is efficient,
confirm patients name, ensure patients for supervision to take medications and provide additional
medications as requested. The context in which the role was performed was nursing and
preparing medications. The effective date in which the role was performed was June 2018.
Leading and developing people
My role was to perform collaborative work practices and ensure established goals in planning
processes. My relevant professional experience is in collaborative work practices. The
importance of leading and developing people is explained with effective work practices and this
ensures the core results of the organization (NSW Government, 2019). The meeting was
conducted in order to work on the historical information that is provided between Dual Diagnosis
CNC (DDCNC)and JJ psychologists. The new simplified spreadsheet helps to create and manage
the staff while updating important information that works on providing health care practices. My
role is to ensure consistency of health services that will be communicated between both the
initiatives and work for coordinated results in order to share knowledge and skills for an
organization. The team is an integral part that incorporates and delivers results with successful
performance of an organization. The major part relies on creating an environment that satisfies

collaborative work practices. The meeting discussed includes the provisions of alcohol services

emphasized the development of an organization and people.
Leading people and encouraging people to attain standard goals is an important criterion that is
well-established and works for achieving strategic outcomes (Abou-Moghli 2015). Leading
people is important as it helps in communicating a meaningful vision that inspires people and
works on providing actions that should be taken in order to foster and enhance development in
order to enhance talent of team members. However, it is important for a leader to communicate
and to work on a concise and clear perspective of engaging people to achieve a vision that
inspires and works on standard purposeful actions (Atkinson & Mackenzie 2015). Effective
engagement would improve the performance and capability of employees. When leaders
encourage and lead the team, the development, and growth of the people are observed and it

2014). Strategic outcomes are observed with leading and developing people and add workforce
capability in all the levels in the team. To seek and promote the talent of people, it is important to
engage and communicate with the workforce (Ganta & Manukonda 2014).
The context of the meeting was to plan on the collaborative work practices to ensure and
establish an effective framework while working on skills of leading and developing people. The
meeting was held on 9th January 2019 (NSW Government, 2019). The meeting that was
conducted was focused on criteria of leading and developing people while referring collaborative
work practices. The meeting includes establishing collaborative work practices, provision of
alcohol and drug services and discharge planning.
Driving strategic results
In the course of experience as a resource manager, I handled several issues of resource
management at Berrima correctional center. My relevant current experience is in resource
management that helps in working out the major emphasis and tends to focus on overcoming
several issues with strategic outcomes to be achieved in the company. I have learned the concept

of driving strategic results. I have established strategies and systems that help to work on long
term strategic success for achieving competitive advantage.
Driving strategic results is to promote the level of excellence and to focus on attaining strategic
outcomes (Andersen & Nielsen 2009). As a leader, I need to be able to focus and analyze the
progress of reviewing data and working on informed decisions while analyzing the results. The
initiatives are taken with regards to improvement and progress in an organization (Arasa &
K’obonyo 2012). The concerned data that ensures the strategic results are analyzed and informed
decisions are made with regards to the improvement of opportunities. It is thereby important to
make plans and strategies that tend to manage the resources in an organization (FME Report,
2018). For the actions taken by the leaders, responsibilities are taken that leads to a coordinated
approach of systematic formulation and evaluate the plans to underpin the strategic direction in
the market (French, Kelly & Harrison 2004).
The FME workplace report works on current cost drivers that are behind the issue. There were
issues in managing the resource such as disposable kitchenware and reusable kitchen wares with
the cost analyzed. The current disposable cost was $456.30. The price of cutleries was going up
and it was necessary to be managed effectively by the resource manager. There are strategic
actions that are taken in order to reduce cost. The solutions include a reduction in budget,
reduction in the amount of waste and reduction in pollution that reduces the use of disposal and
plastic use. For strategic results, the emphasize is clear that financial implications and
improvements are expected that would benefit the cost of cutlery and engage in projected cost
that saves a sum of the amount with estimated cost saving per year of $448.58 as per the
financial implications. The current expense for disposable is $456.30, the projected expense for
dish wash liquid is $7.72, savings is $448.58 and estimated cost saving per year is $456.30-
$7.72=$448.58. My role is to ensure the strategic results that ensure the support of quantitated
estimates of the cutleries in an organization.
There are negative consequences if I would not have managed the issues. The risks of doing
nothing involves increase cost of disposable cutleries and an increase in the budget. There can be
a yearly loss of $448.58 if the current cost drivers are not taken seriously (FME Report, 2018).
The two strategic activities would resolve the issues while dealing with resource management
and focusing on reduced use of reusable kitchen wares. Agreed outcomes are established and the
of driving strategic results. I have established strategies and systems that help to work on long

Communication
My current role was to provide international best practice in health care in the criminal justice
system and relevant experience is injustice and forensic mental health network. The values as per
the current role are respect, clear communication, professionalism, care, and honesty. These
values are extracted in order to work on the communication skill as expected in the justice and
forensic mental health network vision (NSW Government, 2018). The role is to communicate
with the partners in the criminal justice system at justice health and forensic mental health
network.
Communication is particularly an important skill that helps to promote commitment in the team
and work on sharing ideas that are relevant across the organization. To communicate with
external stakeholders, it is important to work on the standard communication process that
provides a product or service. Communication is listed with employability skills while it is
important that job advertisements need to make awareness for organizational change (Blazenaite
2012). With the modern concepts in modern organizations, people need to communicate directly
or indirectly to the internal and external workforce in order to work on improvements and
promote a culture of change. All the time, it is not possible to communicate with the workforce
thereby there are measures that are taken in order to focus on effective communication.
Communication is vital and it engages and builds a relationship with customers and clients to
produce effective results and success of the organization (Conrad 2014). Misunderstanding
overcome with the concepts rightly used for communication purpose that increase organizational
efficiency and productivity. Leaders are profound and communicate with a clear message to the
followers (Rajhans 2012). Positive relationships tend to benefit and foster effective results in an
organization. Thereby it is a critical component that responds well with enhanced innovation and
continuous improvement with critical thinking approach. Emotional judgment and collaboration
work well with a problem-solving approach. Communication is an important skill for a leader to
work on promoting the culture that enables and encourages effective communication process. It
capabilities are focused to optimize the outcomes and to work on the successful implementation
of driving factors. My role was to ensure effective results with strategic improvement and
benefiting the group while using strategies to mold the performance.

effective activities that ensure communication. Team members should work on open
communication approach to discuss the activities and roles in order to get solutions for complex
topics and work on strategic issues (Neves & Eisenberger 2012).
My role is to provide best practice in contact with the criminal justice system. The standard role
is to partner with consumers and work on delegating the meetings that are attended by NUM1
and NUM2. There is a follow-up that is expected from representatives and helps in creating a
new model of care (NSW Government, 2018). The Staff meeting is analyzed with several
standards and discussions. Governance for safety, partnering with consumers, preventing and
controlling infections, medication safety, patient identification, clinical handover, preventing and
managing the issues, blood and blood products and preventing falls. The meeting has agenda
items such as current budget variance and save strategies to communicate effective goals. The
action items that are taken are dispensing of medication, continuing to remind the safety to cell
delivery, working on routine audits, communicating the current changes with certain policies,
patient safety, staff climate survey and essential care for working on an action plan. The meeting
was held on 24th May 2018 with the context of Staff Meeting Minutes at MRRC that was
conducted by Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
