I was accountable for administrating and helping a relative who was attempting to take a
patient home without her being formally discharged from hospital care. The relative emerged
very distressed and said she was worried about her family member’s condition and said she
felt she would be best cared at home. The patient still needed constant medical and nursing
care for their condition and for a sustained period of time. It was included that if this patient
was not to continue receiving hospital care they could depreciate and their condition worsen.
Here, I observed transactional leadership. Transactional leadership is a form of management
