INTRODUCTION
Leadership and management are those key elements that contribute to grow companies
and get them successfully while operating under specific sector and managing businesses in
particular market. Leadership is considered as procedure of leading teams of workers or
individuals who perform at workplace to achieve strategic aims of organizations. It may also
consider as ability of person who may capable to influence people, encourage them and enhance
their motivational level. While management is defined as set of activities that attempts to control
ventures performance in effective manner. The current assignment will be based on Hilton hotel,
which falls under the category of leading hospitality firms in the United Kingdom. Its aim is to
make profit more than other hotels in sector by selling quality items such as accommodation
services, room, meals, etc. Organization attempts to increase its profitability by enhancing
customer’s satisfaction and retaining them with brand for longer. The study will explain role of
management and leadership development within hospitality sectors and styles as well as methods
related to both terms. Furthermore, lastly the report will justify various issues related to diversity
& equality. It will clarify suitable recommendations based on overall analysis and findings to
make improvement in business practices further.

Development of leadership and management within each category of hospitality industry
play vital role in term of their continuous progress and success. For example, leadership
formation in food & beverage, accommodation and other sector is considered as procedure of
strengthening business capabilities, which hotels like Hilton use to gain competitive edges and
give tough competition to key rivals that has operated in same industry to grow. The best role
that it may play within hospitality industries is to boost worker’s morale and enhance their
engagement within organizational success, which is quite important for a company to do so (Why
leadership development is important, 2018). It drives the attention of leaders towards conducting
those activities that help to achieve these outcomes and strengthen them to retain skilled as well
as hard working candidates. Leadership development within sectors may contribute to make
leader capable to achieve greater results. It made them enable to build strong workforce at
workplace that support to achieve set goals and objectives of ventures in effective and systematic

manner. It can be said that this process may equips leaders with key competencies that assist

Development of leadership within industries may support to create positive working

firms and make them profitable. It empowered leaders and creates skilled at work areas that
bring several benefits to sectors in term of increasing their productivity, performance and
profitability level. It permits a leader to allow greater innovation which in return maximize sales
and profits margin of businesses. It supports to transform ineffective teams into effective one that
may capable to perform in productive manner and gain a lot of success that accessible in
business world in the context of hospitality industries. It supports in varied terms in regard to
venture progress and excellent success.
Just like leadership, management development may also contribute in same way in the
context of hospitality industries in term of creating effective and efficient managers who may
able to develop appropriate plans and efforts to form excellent tactics that leaders may
implement at workplace to achieve great success for companies that has operated and managed
business related practices within own sectors in effective manner. It described as process by
which individual person may perform their duties as a manager and enhance their managerial

is related to management, which development within hospitality sector may contribute in varied
