Reflection on Leadership Effectiveness
Effectiveness in the leadership can be attained through the determination of self-
abilities skills that can improve the effectiveness of the team and lead to the organization
success (Dabke, 2016). Here, the reflection paper is based on my DISC Personality Report
which can help me in the becoming an effective leader in the future.
DISC Personality Report is used for the determination of one’s behaviour and attitude
that identifies the personality of that person (DISC Profile, 2011). I have used DISC report
to analyse my personality and improve the same to increase the team effectiveness. I agree
with my DISC report which determines that I have a unique personality. The model describes
the four factors to be measured that are the basis of determination of personality which are
dominance, influence, steadiness and compliance. My DISC report results show that I strive
for excellence and have strong inner motivation. I agree with the results that are being
brought up by the DISC report. DISC profiles are created through the statistical analysis and
are given different names on the basis of the determined personality that captures the essence
of the particular profile (Cole, 2018). Moreover, I have a unique sequence of scores that
makes my personality unique in a specific way. I am innovative and always seek for
excellence from others. Also, I have a positive impact on the people as open for
implementing the new ideas. I avoid the risk associated with the change and motivate others
to do their best.
Further, my determined features can be effectively used by me for becoming an
effective leader in the future and enhance the team effectiveness. Moreover, team
effectiveness can be gained through the effective leadership that can be applied to the
organization for getting the positive results (Luciano, Bartels, D’Innocenzo, Maynard, &
Mathieu, 2018). I can use my inner motivation to improve the effectiveness of my team and
also make my team members to be focused and inspired to perform good in the future. As I
have determined that I am innovative, I will use my creative ideas to make the significant
changes and also bring effectiveness in the work performed. Apart from being creative, I am
achiever as per my DISC results. I always strive for excellence from my team members
which means I can use this quality to improve the quality of the outcomes. Further, I have the
ability to handle pressure in a proper way that will open the boundaries for my continuous
improvements. I can make use of this quality to improve the effectiveness of the team by
taking the risk and handling pressure that can make me a good leader for the future.
