to conduct operations effectively in this competitive business world. With good and
efficient management and leadership structure and positive and competitive managers
and leaders of an organization can enhance their capacities to manage employees in a
well-defined and effective manner and can assure long-term growth and sustainability in
the industry.
This report outlines that however management and leadership have different types

INTRODUCTION
In today's business environment there is competition among business organizations
in every industrial sector. To cope up with this competitive business environment
leadership and management play an important role which not only helps an organization
to retain talented and skilled employees for higher productive outcomes but also assists
the company to assure higher competitiveness in the industry.
Leadership is an important aspect in which an organization has major roles in terms
of setting a vision to accomplish organizational objectives and developing motivating
environment that helps employees to accomplish these objectives. While in terms of
management it is a process of dealing with or controlling people and resources within
organizations (Alise, 2021).
Both leadership and management allow organizations to develop a governance and
environment which helps in systematically fulfilling business objectives. In this dynamic

leaders and managers to create a dedicated and structured environment with different
types of skills and inspire employees towards business objectives. With strong
leadership and management organization can fulfil overall business roles and objectives

(2021). In this report, the formative discussion has been conducted on analysis and
comparison of leadership and management, key performance metrics of the

Analysis and comparison of leadership and management
Leadership is as an ability of an individual to enable, influence, and motivate others to
contribute towards the success and effectiveness of the organization in which they are
performing their roles and responsibility (Gradinarova, (2021). In terms of leadership,
leaders are having personality styles with great charisma and are comfortable in
undertaking risk. It has been identified that leaders are those individuals who have a
high level of imagination and are people-oriented and focus on leading and guiding
people. In addition to this, it has been identified that in leadership leaders approach the
task by simply looking at problems and creating and providing an efficient solution. With
the help of making use of their leadership styles with commitment, charisma and by
focusing upon others leaders with risk-taking approach, guide people. In terms with
Sainsbury, it has been identified that within company leaders with the help of

incurred on procuring goods.

which Sainsbury is performing is operations in customer retention. In this
company can offer high quality and affordable products and services to
customers.
Organizational leadership and management performance
Both leadership and management is an important aspect for every organization
irrespective of its size and scope, as it helps business to maximize employees’
productivity and performance on an effective basis and fulfil organizational goals in a
well-defined and effective manner. It has been identified that leadership and
management have significant influence upon various aspects of a company which
includes consumer satisfaction, revenue, sales, employee turnover, productivity, and
more. With the help of good leadership and management organization can engage
