their importance in the workplace. Later part A of this report will discuss self-awareness and its
importance in career development. Later part B will discuss self-analysis highlighting
professional and positional. At last part C of this report will discuss area of development.

Definition of self awareness:
Self awareness is one of the most important pillar in life, this help person to remain self
active in identifying personal strength and weakness. This simply means being aware from
different aspects including traits, behaviour and feelings. Self awareness is psychological
concept to become focused, this not only help person to become more active but self awareness
also allow person to explore those areas of opportunity in professional career. There are certain
benefit of developing self-awareness such as:
Leadership: self-awareness is most used tool of a successful leader, they have ability to remain
self active with this process (Northouse, 2021). When a person want to become leader, then they
need to develop self-awareness ability to identify their own strength and weakness. Every
successful leader first develop themselves and others.
Management capabilities: person who tend to develop self-awareness in career development
process have chances to increase their capabilities, both personal and management. Every person
tend to have employability skills which need management capabilities, when a person tend to
develop self-awareness, then they can increase their management capabilities, these capabilities
include; effective management of employee and their performance, management of workplace
performance and management of resources.
