frame. The main aspects of change management, is to implement the strategies related to
change, controlling the change and motivating people to adapt the change so that company can
retained competitive advantages in retail sector of UK. The manner in which different services
industry organisations such as Tesco and Sainsbury has make use of leadership to implement the
change can be discussed through making use of Kurt lewin theory. It is theory that have three
main stages which helps in understanding in detailed about the manner in which particular
changes has brought and benefited the company. Such as:

communication has helped in engaging employees to actively take part in the change
management process for benefits of firm.
 Change: The employees after having all information about the manner in which change
will be implement, its overall benefits or outcome, employees has put their best efforts to
implement the same. Tesco leaders has carefully plan, support, direct and guide people
related to the manner in which particular task will be completed. Along with it, the leader
has taken feedback of employees to know what are the challenges that they are facing

2018). Therefore, it has lead in influencing employees to make optimum use of their
existing skill and capabilities so that the set objectives can be achieved in minimum cost
and time.

of digital marketing to connect and build relationship with customer. So that they are

efforts to ascertain the needs of change, then develop a planning and communication
strategy to implement the change (Rosenbaum, More and Steane, 2018). In another
words, make all efforts to make mind-set of people that company have to make use of
digital platform to attract millions of customers from different parts of the world.
 Change: In order to encourage active participation of the employees in the change
management process, leader has make use of democratic leadership styles. It has helped
in gaining in-sight or motivating employees to suggest some innovative and creative
ideas that could be used by firm. At the same time, it helps leader in understanding the
major issue or problem that employees are facing while implementing the change. It has
also contributed in building a sense of belongingness feeling among the employees

effectively.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF LEWIN MODEL
ADVANTAGES
1. The advantage is that easy understand and implement in the company as few steps are
performed in short span of time.
2. It does not affect business continuity as it makes use of efficient method.
DISADVANTAGES
1. It is difficult for the leader as well as manager to freeze the planned change or settle
down the same so that company can easily achieve its objectives.

simple and quaint.
