LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT3 Introduction Leadership is a very essential element which is required in order to be able to lead a group of people with common objectives to their goals. I have clarified in past experience that leading is a conventional process it requires skills and competencies in order to be conducted in a prominent way. Acquiring skills related to the leadership helps a firm to become an efficient leader. In this assessment I will be providing a reflective essay on how I developed by existing leadership skills and what are my requirements of skills which will be needed by me in order to become a good leader. The development plan will also be laid out to describe the ways in which the skills will acquired to become a good leader. Identifying the three leadership qualities present and how the following were gained The following are the 3 leadership qualities and skills which I have and the ways in which the following skills have been acquired: Skills of delegation Delegation is an important skill to master of an individual wants to become a leader. I have the skills of delegating my authorities to my teammates of follower which makes the task easy to perform and involves every member which help me in gutter to the collective goal of the team. I have learnt the following skills through my academics as well as my involvement in sports. I have known the importance of delegation as well as the ways in which authorities or work can be delegated to my teammates of colleagues (Krell, 2015). I have played sports and this has helped me to experiment delegation of authorities by defining the role of very teammate within the game and moving towards the goal collectively. This has helped me attaining effective skills of delaying many authorities as a leader to my follower and co workers in order to reach a collective objective through team work (Ward, 2016). Skills of creativity Creativity is a very important element within leadership of leader. Leaders need to be creative and innovative in order to become an efficient leader. Thinking something out of

I have creativity in me as I desire of knowing the different paths and ways through which a goal can be reached in an evident manner. I have learnt the followingskillsthroughtheinvolvementinartandinterestwithintechnologies. Innovation in modern days have helped me learnt that there are new machines and ways which come every day and help a individual to reach their desires and gola in a different (Cleeter, Arms, Peter, Bemis & Swint, 2017). This has helped me to understand the importance of creativity in every aspect of life and leadership. Hence my approach to nay work is creative as I think a creative path through which I can reach my goals in evident manner (Sosik & Jung, 2018). Positivity and responsibility I have the skills of staying positive and taking responsibilities for my job role. Positivity and responsibility is a very important behavioral skill which should be acquired by a good leader (Clinton, 2018). This helps the leader to spread positive environment for team and workforce in which they are operating in. I have acquired the skills of staying positive and responsible through my academic life (Alter, 2017). The education provided by my schools and high schools have helped me too learn that staying positive and taking responsibilities for own action help a person to become a leader one day. Identifying the three qualities which is to be developed The three skills which I lack and desire of acquiring are discussed as follows: Communication Communication is one of biggest needs which good leaders need to have in order to become an efficient one. Communication skills are required by a leader to communicate and share information within a team. I have not been very good at communication and my communication skills are not good which has played as major barrier in my leadership goal. As I am not good at communication there can be communication gap between me my and followers which can lead various problems between the workforce or team in lieu of reaching a common goal (Day, Fleenor, Atwater, Sturm & McKee, 2014). Motivation Although I have the skill of being positive and taking responsibility i lack in the behavioral skills of motivating. It can be said that I am not good at motivating people all though I stay motivated through positiveness (Smylie, 2015). This mean I am not good at making sure that my team is motivated and that they are highly motivated on performing the role while achieving a common objective. It can be observed that as I am weak at communication it is not possible for me to motivate others in a evident manner. It can be said that this is major element which I lack in order to become a good leader as I am not able to proper motivate my colleagues. I desire to attain such skills through proper learning so that there are no such problems in the near future and I become efficient leader in the near future (Parkay, Anctil & Hass, 2014). Relationship building As seen in the above discussion I am not able to communicate properly this has played as major barrier in my role a leader and developing good relationship with my colleagues. It is not that I don't have good relationship with my colleagues but I develop relationship at a lower place as I'm an introvert and lack efficient communication skills which will lead me to have proper bond with my teammates (Ferris, Moore, Callaway & Foley, 2018). This has also affected my way of becoming a efficient leadership. The operation of a leader and the followers is majorly dependent on the relationship which they develop between each other. Hence I would look to acquire skill of relationship building as this will help me to effectively operate with my colleagues in order to reach a common goal. Development plan The following development plan will demonstrate the manners in which I plan to acquire the skills stated above. The plan will demonstrate the approaches which will be take, the measure which will be taken to monitors and the ways in which the errors detected in plan can be mitigated acquire the kills in a significant manner. The main objectives of the plan is to be attain skills of communication, motivation and relationship building in order to become better leader in future (Larsson, Sandahl, Söderhjelm, Sjövold & Zander, 2017).
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT6 Attain communicational skills Firstly in order to attain communicational skills I will plan to buy books and will go to institutions which provide lessons on how to build communication skills. In this way I will be able to increase my communication skills. Through books I will be able to know the major steps which are to be taken in order to increase communication and what are the elements which are to be focused in descriptive manner. In the institution there can be practical knowledge in building communication with others. I will also be doing personal development courses which will help me in interacting with others which will increase my communication skills in an significant manner (Whitlow, Patterson & Billings, 2017). I will be monitoring my progress through the use ofmilestones and other KPI. I will be working on my language and will look to use appropriate word in different situation this will enhance my communication skills in respect to others. Doing this will help me to acquire communication skills in faster and efficient place. Monitoring the process will help be in measuring my girth and mitigate any barriers which are there in line of my growth in communication with others. I will train myself in both verbal and written communication for better information sharing process. In this way I will be able to develop my communication skills in an evident manner (Rice & O’Keefe, 2014). Increase my behavioural skills Secondly in order to increase my behavioural skills of Motivation I will try and take classes to know about different aspect of motivation and how motivations acts. Proper study of motivation and different ways of motivating other will studied in order to make sure that I train myself in motivating my colleagues as a leader. Motivational aspect of leader will be studied through academic books which will give an unbiased view on the importance of motivation within leadership. I myself will try to be motivated under any circumstance so that I am able to motivate others at workplace. Motivational aspect of workplace and teamwork will be studied to gain knowledge over how to motivate others at workplace and the ways in which I stay motivated in adverse situations. This will help me grow in motivating other. This will happen parked to the development of communication development as these are interrelated. This will too be monitored through milestones in which at the time of reaching milestone will be determined showing the place at which the skills is acquired. In this wayI will develop my motivational skills and will be able to motivate others for purpose of reaching a common goal (Jolemore & Soroka, 2017). Relationship building skill

It is to be noted that as this is a behavioral skill it will need major practice and practical knowledge for which meeting new people and will necessary. For this purpose I will meet new people at my institution as well as workplace as a result of which I will be able to maintain my growth in developing proper relationship with other. This will increase my skills as a leader and help me to develop and grow as leader in the future. The progress in this development will also measured through milestones as this will help in better monitoring and mitigation of error (Leung, 2015). Explaining how will I lead in context of sustainability and social responsibility Sustainability and social responsibility are words which are majorly derived from the corporate world. I have considered and understood that can be said that leadership in the corporate work requires sustainable development in the initiatives which will address the demands of the stakeholder as well meet the expectation of the related society. It is important that leader is responsible in delivering such results meeting stakeholders and society’s criteria. I will have to lead under such conditions too. For this purpose will lead with responsibility I will take the responsibility of my workforce motivate them and try to provide the results expected by the stakeholder. Sustaining the development of the workforce is another common goal which I will be looking too active in my corporate leadership activities. For this purpose I will use skills of communication and delegation which will eventually help me to sustain the development and take responsibility for the meeting the future demands of the stakeholders. In order to meet the increasing demand through achievement in sustainable rate of development, creativity and innovation will be used as tool. It will help me to increase the effect of the organization act and will help the firm to deliver as per the expectation of the stakeholders (Ackley, 2017). Conclusion Concluding in the light of above context it can be said that leadership is conventional process developing leadership skills need time and training but if the skills are mastered using them at operation is very evident.
