2LEADERSHIP PROJECT1 Introduction The change in the needs and preferences of the consumers has enumerated changes in thesystems of the organizations. In order to cope up with the changes, the organizations are requiredto undertake steps to manage the issues faced by the organization. In this relation, the companyrequires a leader. The leader enumerates the pathway to the improvements and undertakes thehefty decisions of the organization in order to make the progress. The structure of theorganization and the mindset of the leader greatly affect the organizational growth andexpansion. Therefore, a leader is required by the organization in order to undertake the progress. The report discusses the concepts of the leadership approaches based on the mindset ofthe individuals. The mindset of the leader and the approaches undertaken by the person helps inmaking the most of the resources available in the organization. The consideration undertaken bythe leader is based on the requirements of the organization to bring in improvements in theorganization (Avolio and Yammarino 2013). The sustenance of the organization in the market isagain another concern of the organizations. The Oman Oil Company, which is an oil refinery inOman, is being considered as per the criteria of the leadership undertaken by the organizationand the effects of the mindsets on the improvements undertaken by the organization. The main purpose of the report is to understand the different mindsets of the leaders helpin determining the requirements of the progress of the organization and sustenance in acompetitive market. It analyzes the effect of the management and leadership on theorganizational framework and the effects on the competition in the market. Thecharacteristics of the culture of the organization are based on the seven elements. They areinnovation, detailing, emphasis on the outcome, emphasis on the human resource, teamwork,aggressiveness and the stability (García-Morales, Jiménez-Barrionuevo and Gutiérrez-Gutiérrez2012). The characteristics define the goals of the organization in holding a sustainable market.The organization undertakes innovative measures, which helps the company in bringing thechange in the market and enjoys a competitive advantage over the other companies. Thedetailing of the product helps in rendering the quality, which helps in retaining the brand loyalty.Every company undertakes their functions with the expectation of the outcome (Wright,Moynihan and Pandey 2012). The outcome determines the success factors of the company in themarket. On the other hand, the human resource and the teamwork are essential factors that arerequired for the continuous growth of the organizations. It helps in undertaking the smoothfunctioning of the processes involved.
