This study explores leadership theories in health and the crucial position taken by leaders in healthcare sectors in the matters to do with individual, healthcare teams and the health service delivery. The study draws evidence from published texts as well as personal experiences in the development of a clear cut discussion on how and why leadership informs the organizational culture in a health care facility, drawing multiple examples to illustrate the validity of this hypothesis. The study also highlights the importance of effective communication, quality care, and patient safety in healthcare.
